She will simply give Reputation TV the “no single” treatment I fear :cm:

Let’s not act like she has put much effort in TV singles expect for Oscar baiting ATW10

With all the talk about how much she loves making music and albums lately, I’m finally starting to worry less that she’s secretly planning retirement after TS13 :gaycat6:

Keep making albums forever sis, we’ll be here to listen!

Me too, especially after reading that Clara Bow retired after marrying and I was scared this was part of why she wanted to make a song about her :gaycat6:

"Omg she got cancelled after her peak 1989 era and no one have seen her for months, she's probably done with music"
"Omg she finally found her peace on Lover, what if it's her last album?"
"Omg the deluxe track on evermore is called "it's time to go" is it her last album?"
"Omg she's gonna finish Eras Tour and probably will be so tired, she won't release a new album after Midnights"
"Omg the last track on her upcoming allbum is called Clara Bow did yall heard about how she retired?"

When it's gonna stop?:suburban:

For my defense, it was just a thought in my head that I didn't share and wasn't truly believing. But it still was there I'll admit. :suburban:

I guess we all need these imaginary scenarios to be able to cope with her retirement if she ever was to retire, because I think we all realize we're taking what has been going on since the beginning of the decade for granted.

I feel like I had an overdose of Taylor Swift in 2023 with Midnights, SN, 1989, going to 3 era tour shows in November, that I just can't find myself excited for this album right now. Hope things change in the coming weeks.

She's about to serve her first breakup album since Red (2012), there's no way some of you are not excited :chick3:

Yeah, I've thought about that too and this is what makes me sooo excited. I can't wait to see how she would treat a break-up album after so many years and with her songwriting evolving so much since then.

I also understand the fatigue, that was me in January. I barely listened to her. But right after she finished her speech, it was over, I was back and ready. She truly has me in the palm of her hand.

wonder if she'll do a pre single for this album unlike the last 3, hopefully she does

Excuse me for not being so far up her ass, I guess. Some of you are too old to be acting like this. :toofunny3:

OT - "Florida!!!" is gonna be her best song since "tolerate it"

conflicted on whether i want a single. on one hand i’m greedy and need The Lord at all time. on the other, it is always such a gag to hear a Lord album without any pre-release singles.

eras tour pls distract us over the next few months so april 19 can come faster :penguin:

A prerelease at her level is not a good move. No matter what she does shes gonna turn some people off of the album by revealing the sonic palette. Keeping it a mystery and getting a bigger first week from all the interest is the better strategy.

im not saying we wont ever get a prerelease single again, but itd have to be because she wanted to and accepts the negatives i talked about above

I really want the Florence feature be a banger, but it's probably gonna be Run(feat.SnoozeSheeran) type song about how she's happy to hangout in Florida with Florence back vocals singing something like ooooh...haaaa... :gaycat7:

the flip side is that a pre-release single allows more than 1 song to hit #1. otherwise the post malone collab goes #1 and it blocks everything else

The one thing (and only thing) I'm sure about Taylor Swift is that she's a success stan. Even though I want the album full of The Alcotts I don't see it happening. The big part of Midnights success was from it being a pop album so I just don't see she ventures into the completely different genre.

Based on the aesthetic alone I'm kinda expecting Jessies Ware's early music vibes, of course much less soul & r&b inspired.

Agreed. I personally love prerelease singles and if they do well the eras just starts off on a high note and makes it feel like more of a pop culture moment

Not Run :rip: That's like the worst vault track released so far ffff

I don't know what to expect from their collab since we have no clue about the genre or anything else, but I would love something in the vein of these songs. I would collapse and never recover.
