Taylor in the US alone will sell around 25 million albums in this year alone, (& est. 35M in the rest of the world). Either figure will be more than what MJ sold in his biggest sales year, the whole world combined. and he only set that record in the year he died.

Just stahp. :chick1:

But those units are also largely fans listening to it at home, she's not selling 25 million albums. MJ's sales were from a time when the measurement stopped once you purchased that album in stores. It's not 25 million albums sold.

Are you implying that Taylor Swift is bigger than Michael Jackson who has the biggest album of all time, more overall sales with less studio albums and whose follow-up to the best-selling album of all time has sold more than any Taylor Swift album without streaming added to it? Is @Taylena of the same opinion? :gaycat2:

They way you got BANNED then came back with a new avi, same personality and but Brandon in reverse in your member title is giving stupid :sorry:

I'm on a pop forum with an Adele avi and I get this amount of theories and hate is quite disgusting. I didn't offend you, wtf.

Hey, how come I don't see any efforts setting the 670k SEAs as the new holy grail? It's as unbeatable for everyone as 3.38m is. Considering sales is dead, this might as well be the only record that matters.

First smart thing I've seen you say.

It should be the only number talked about in 2024.

I mean, this works as something that you tell yourself to sooth your feelings, but that's not what billboard, IFPI, HDD, chartmaster, the FBI or CIA says? As far as they're concerned Taylor sold ~50M albums in 2023 and probably 55-60m in 2024? And when she overtakes MJ, they'll be making the announcement, just like chart master did in February when Taylor overtook Celine?

nnn thanks for clocking. I asked for a dupe check a few days ago (especially with that ridiculously obvious nodnarB member title) but I guess it hasn't come up in the mod queue yet :deadbanana4:

Either that, or miss BrandNewBrandon has invested in a new VPN just to post their essays :gaycat4:

I don't think she's close to overtaking MJ lol.

Well, since she's racking up 50M each year, she'll be there in 3 years give or take :giraffe:

BrandNewBrandon has never received enough warning points to even be eligible for an eviction nor has he ever broken any rules, according to ATRL's guidelines. He has, however, been in discussions about Taylor's sales and accomplishments giving his opinion without any racist, transphobic, aggressive or vile comments and has supported 90% of this board's artists. If not being a Taylor stan or supporter is cause for a ban then it is extremely pathetic by any means. Chameleot (I think that was his username?) who got banned in recent days for what seemed like nothing other than also being a non-Swiftie is another prime example of such behaviour and abuse of power. But it does seem like ATRL needs a serious reevaluation on who the mods are (specifically that one mod) because there's an abuse of power going on when banning users for NOT breaking the rules. Brandon getting a ban out of the blue for being a dupe account while not being one is against the rules on any site and does send a message that there's a mod on the team who is abusing their power. Pinpoint me to where that user did anything remotely worth a ban. And if mods are reading this message, I'm sure you can check these things in that user's posting history because being a OTH (as people here call anti-fans) is not a cause for banning.

If I get banned then whoever is reading this knows someone on the mod-team is abusing his or her power. Because if you start banning users because they aren't fans of an artist on a forum dedicated to all artists then the site is corrupt and not worth anyone's time. This isn't ATayloRL, this is ATRL (and the house that Britney built) :gaycat2:

Girl... surely you didn't get kicked off a website for what you clearly think were unfounded and unfair reasons just to come back to that website and double down on the behavior that you seem to think got you kicked off in the first place :deadbanana4: Do you lack a sense of self-worth, or is it some sort of self-degradation thing? You were metaphorically escorted out for unruly behavior, and you're trying to sneak back in to do what? Obsessively beef with Taylor fans during her album release week? You might need to have a conversation with yourself about that one :deadbanana4: Given that you were BANNED, I would think you'd want to use that clean slate to go obsessively write anti-Taylor essays somewhere else, where people actually wanted to hear it, or maybe even pick up a more productive hobby to use up your free time, but you decided to shamelessly crawl back within like THREE DAYS :deadbanana4:

Should we expect more users with similar opinions, writing styles, and 'nodnarB' or whatever to pop up a few days you're gone? Or will you actually get the hint and move on?

I mean, the fact that he took the time to learn about every single metric there is in the music industry, down to how many users there are on a specific platform - ONLY to not being able to talk about ANY of that without having to pretend as a fake Adele Stan, (in the other thread he's even hiding behind ed Sheeran while being a fake Adele fan :deadbanana: ).

If you have assemble every single artist that have made it big in the last 10 years to compare to what Taylor has done, then shouldn't you just take a darn hint that it is Taylor's world to rule right now? Why go through all this borderline schizophrenic act of pretending to stan every act that accomplished something?

Nobody's bigger than MJ(solo wise).

But MJ didn't exactly have the most groundbreaking music and strongest longevity musically either.

He was always extremely famous and popular globally but, musically, his prime was from Off The Wall to Bad. His 90's music was decent but not really groundbreaking. Dangerous was decent but blatantly borrowed from his sister Janet's style. And HIStory was a decent album that was arguably his most "punk" in nature but, once again, Janet incorporated social messages in R&B/Pop years before he did and the music wasn't all too distinctive. And Invincible bombed in America and was panned by critics and still remains a somewhat forgotten era of his to this day.

I say this as an MJ fan btw. His run from Off The Wall to Bad was incredible and one of the best in pop music. And he made timeless music with the Jackson 5 too.

But Taylor's run is more consistently dominant despite MJ having a more dominant peak overall. Taylor is 18 years in her career and still reaching new highs and none of her albums reached Invincible status in terms of bombing and getting panned. Not even Lover or TTPD despite what the naysayers online claim.

MJ will always be bigger just off of sheer fame and global impact but, if we're strictly touching on music, Taylor's music career is already looking better than MJ's solo career. I'm not talking about numbers per say but more so consistency, breaking new grounds, and having a sustainable mainstream run that won't get derailed by controversy and accusations like MJ's after the early 90's.

I see Taylor has gotten OTHs so obsessed, they needed to create dupes after getting banned, with their very first post on this forum not being in the new member orientation thread or even a simple hello in the base of their "fave", but in a thread about Taylor, trying to discredit her success.

What's the hint I should take? That I'm not allowed to disagree with a Swiftie about Swift? Why should I double down on that behaviour when that has never even in the slightest been a cause for a ban in the first place? It's a pop music forum about discussions. It's not "beefing" just because you don't agree with my takes. Especially when half of those Taylor threads incorporate Adele's name.

I mean what exactly is me sharing my opinion on a subject any different from you disagreeing with it? The fact that you took your time to do research on my account because you what? Didn't like that I don't like Taylor? Like what is this even. Again, nothing I've said in any of those threads you mentioned warrants any ban whatsoever nor do I attack any Swifties. The "attacks" are the ones thrown at me for my opinions on her if anything. There's nothing to move on from because of some mod on here who probably is a Swiftie hands out bans for freedom of speech, for literally NOT breaking any rules. And you of all people should not talk since how you spoke about artists in that "free-for-all" thread with disgusting language that put-together is more vile and vicious than anything I have ever posted. So glass-houses sis. Anyways, this is a forum meant to discuss pop stars and their music and accomplishments. Do you expect to start a thread about Taylor Swift and just have everyone raving and agreeing with everything you say? Is that what you expect. Again, nothing I post or "argue" about is anything controversial or worth "banning" but the fact that some users DO get banned for it tells you that vast mod-examination needs to be studied. And I'm talking about the countless users who have presumably been banned for no reason whatsoever as well. And when you get banned for having a dupe account while not having one means that mod needed a label to put on their unwarranted and unfair banning so they went with that. Anyways, nothing I have said or continue to say is anything ban-worthy so you just continue to do you and stop following my every move and I continue to do what this board is ultimately designed for: to discuss (whether positive or negative) pop artists and their accomplishments.

Quality is probably subjective. But this wasn't about his quality at all. It was about that user claiming Taylor is on Michael's level commercially. That's incorrect and there's nothing wrong with that.
