I'm here for it. I do not go to Ms K8y for deep and dreary. We have The Tortured Poet's Department Store for that.

This is Katy's brand, if you guys expect some type of Folklore/Ray Of Life type of album well, you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

Ready and perched for this.

Sadly that is exactly what she needs

A mature, well crafted body of work.

When I'm gone was a step in the right direction but she needs a song with a little more substance

Eh, she can make fun escapist music and still make it a true body of work. Madonna, Kylie, Dua, Bey and many others have done it in the past.

Nobody wants spiritual electronica or cottagecore indie-pop from Katy Perry. The GP wants bops, but good ones and not stuff like Smile.

What I mean is that is very difficult to her to connect with massive audiences again with the same theme she's done for 4 albums in a row already

Anything different has a better chance of succeeding

I do think a fun concept could work with a massive change on it, if she's going to serve the same goofy, quirky mood she's done

An evolution is what she actually needs

Yeah, that I agree with. She needs to leave the clown costume in the closet.

People dragged her when she tried something different sonically with Witness, so now she's staying in her lane of bright and joyful pop tunes. But you guys are way too harsh on Smile. It's a good record and if it were made by any other pop girlie, I'm sure many would be saying very different things.

Dr. Luke should have just given the entirety of Kim Petras discography to Katy instead and we wouldn't be in this mess

Get Max Martin, he did a great job on Ariana's new album. I would love to see Katy have a great comeback

I think right direction for Katy would be to go "back to basics" with her, don't rely on gimmicks and camp colorful stuff but go more pop-rock, something like more mature Olivia Rodrigo.

I think the colorful playful stuff are overused.

Guys…she keeps repeating the same things as inspiration. This is Katy. Please, stop crying…

I think she wants to show how resilient she is with these words. Maybe she wants to talk about fun as an experiment with music. She still teasing dance club music and KPsex theme. I think that witness 2.0 is coming with more optimism and love lyrics. That s all……
