What's it like being in love?

I don't think I've ever been in love and I wanna know how it feels. I know it is hard to explain feelings but I just wanna hear from the people!

it's confusion mixed with anxiety and very brief moments of euphoria here and there

If it's one-sided, it's literal torture

It's like knowing that you are finally enough. All of those nights where you doubted yourself as either being too much, or being someone they'll settle for when really they deserve more, every time you looked in the mirror and noticed every single little flaw on your body, all of the mental battles you had about what to change or to be someone else entirely so you can be what you believe someone else wants, and believing no one can understand you for those same exact quirks, flaws, and insecurities you thought about it as you read the above text — none of this will matter because you are in love. For the first time in your life, your reality is better than any dream and fantasy. Both the fear and comfort of the fact that it can not get better than this makes you try even harder.

Your person sees you for you and is willing to grow with you by building a strong foundation for a relationship that will stand the obstacles of life. They know that by loving you, they choose you each and every single day. Sure, there are dealbreakers, but both of you try your hardest to make your special connection e everlasting because you realize love gives your life meaning you never knew it didn't have. Love is the strongest human emotion and every single feeling is a reaction to that same love.

It depends. If it's "at first sight" it's literally torture, especially if it's not reciprocated or the other person's sexuality doesn't align with yours.

If it's something that was brewing for a while and you get to know the other person on a human level it's way more pleasant.

You want the person to be happy even if it's not with you.

For me it's just that inexplicable feeling that you just know you are in love with that person, it feels right. Like Lana's lyric in Margaret ''when you know, you know''. If I don't get it with someone, especially after talking and spending time together for a while, I may like them and have affection for them, but I'm not in love with them.

It's hard to explain but it feels so good, you feel happy and euphoric at times, it's a feeling that goes through your body and fills your heart and the feeling is even better when the other person feels the same way about you.

Came in to post this. It can make you feel on top of the world and also like you want to die.

You feel happy, euphoric, anxious, nervous and excited all at once and it can make you lowkey lose sense of reality for some moments, for better or for worse. Like you might legit put the person you love on top of your friends, family, job, everything but also the hardships you might have in life are going to feel less bad cause you're in love.

But it's definitely a feeling that peaks and goes down a bit. You won't feel that euphoric state forever.

Its great at first but u literally lose your mind along the way and if u 2 break up, u will have a breakdown but then youll recover months after.

It can be so good but it takes alot to keep it going.

I'm glad I once had the experience but I'd never willingly open myself up to it ever again. If it goes wrong it can be traumatic. If you live through the pain and get to the other side it can make you emotionally tougher than prior to when you had the experience in the first place.

It is not necessarily the experience Hollywood would have you believe and It can be a genuinely vulnerable experience that can leave you feeling lost.

Without experiencing the actual feelings themselves, these two songs/ videos offer windows in to how bad the negative side of love can be (more so than any words on a page could possibly convey).

There are worse things a human can (and will) experience but that's not relevant to here and now.
