Why do (some) ATRL'ers still use the term MPG?

Back in the day when I was just snooping around on here in like 2017 I would see people use the term and now that I've become a bit more active on the forum with making posts etc I'm still seeing some users use this tired ass term to categorize their fave pop girls... why?? It's so childish and it also just sounds dumb. But that's just my opinion I guess

this forum is stuck in the past... they still make threads about xtina or katy like it's 2011, you think they wouldn't use an outdated term?

It's easy to discuss and refer to a group of pop artists.

I just saw people using LaLingo so... It's not surprising atrl uses outdated phrases

Yall can have issues about anything. If that term exists there's a reason for it. If u dont want to use it, dont, but don't ask others not to.

Because gay men are obsessed with ranking popstars like they're Barbies and using their achievements like they're their own.

Because there's a hierarchy in pop music. There's the legends, main pop girls, flop girls, alt pop girls, fads etc

People who don't achieve anything in their own lives tend to vigorously tear down others that have.

It is sometimes used to inflate certain pop girls' success.

they're the same people who think Xtina might be bigger than Beyoncé or who say Taylor is local or who say they still call Lady Gaga "fad", they don't know how to move forward in life

Why complain about that term now?

People used it to compare the 2000s/2010s pop girls and exclude the solidified legends because they weren't current. But now they use it to include 2000s/2010s has beens into conversations they don't belong in :suburban:
