Princess Aurora Posted April 14 Posted April 14 This is why ATRLers I don't use any dating apps. I'm scared of episodes like this. Stay safe The story sounded like a short thriller story
Dolce Vita Posted April 14 Posted April 14 (edited) this is terrifying. i've haven't had anything as bad as your scenario but i sometimes get blank profiles try to scare me by saying they've seen me around the city or imply that they know who i am, it's creepy. once some guy explicitly mentioned they watch me walk to the station everyday and that was enough for me to delete grindr chile Edited April 14 by Dolce Vita
Jimmey Posted April 14 Posted April 14 OMG, that's scary to read, I can't even imagine how stressful it was for you. I'm glad you're OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kavish Posted April 14 Posted April 14 I'm glad you're safe. I can relate and know exactly how you felt and how you're feeling now. I was followed. grabbed. and pulled by a man when I was 17 while returning from school. Fortunately I managed to break free and ran towards a policeman. I cried and was shaking so much when I got home. I hope you feel better, and use this experience to be safer while being out at night and using those apps.

I was sreless but I didn't expect the guy to be at that park and him spotting me. It's a big area and he could ve in any of the surrounding apartments for all knew. This is a first for me anf hopefully the last

A.R.L Posted April 14 Posted April 14 (edited) The place where I live feels too safe for me when I read things like this, but I can guarantee you that the whole world is full of psychopaths, so be careful. If this ever happened to me, I would run with the lace of my shoe untied Don't allow that famous grinder sound when you send or receive a message from someone, people can recognize you for that only even if you hide the application from them. I would never meet a stranger in the forest, even if he was the sexiest man in the app. 💀 Edited April 14 by A.R.L
MasterExpose Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Who uses Grindr in 2024 I thought most people left it behind in 2018
KBax Posted April 14 Posted April 14 I'm sorry this happened to you, that's truly terrifying! Glad you're safe. I don't use Grindr or any app really, but I've had a bad experience with Grindr before. A blank profile that was super close messaged me once. Conversation was normal at first but it got dark. They told me to come to their semi truck that was parked nearby and at that point I was already not interested. I politely said no I'm not interested and that's when it got creepy. He told me he could see me walking and told me what I was wearing. He was insisting I go to him otherwise we'd have a problem. He then started sending me extremely disturbing pictures of boys being tortured (where he got them from I don't know). I could see a semi that was pulled over and I felt so sick. There was so much glare from the sun I couldn't tell if he was even in the vehicle. I just started running, but I was scared he was going to follow me back to my house. When I got home and checked the app he said You sure run fast where'd you go?
Oktober Knight Posted April 15 Posted April 15 I'm sorry that happened to you, that truly is scary. I would recommend staying off of the app that late at night just in case.
Twixters Posted April 16 Posted April 16 This seems like the plot for a low budget gay horror film. I'm here for it! Contact Tubi!
