I love her but Aubrey Plaza.

I think she showed quite a bit of range with Legion

absolutely not, she used to be ridiculed for years for always playing the same character, so much so that her iconic interviews and annoying personality are embeded in y'alls rotted brains

but that was before "The White Lotus", she proved everyone she had tremendous range in that show and that she could play a deeply nuanced character

leonardo dicaprio

"quick witted young guy". is every single role he's played in the past twenty years, yet people lose their shooshoo over him

lol no

you can say a lot of things about dicaprio and not like his acting but he does not play himself or the same guy twice.

yeah i had completely forgotten her role in Legion, she was fantastic but even then i don't think playing crazy was out of her comfort zone, she was born to do that outlandish role.

she was out of her comfort zone in "white lotus" and nailed it.

Unpopular opinion but most actors :skull:

Character actors are rare. Most of them play themselves but their talent is bringing out the emotions at the right time and how they deliver the script.

This is not unpopular tho

It's the reason why most actors are typecasted

Even huge respected stars like Robert Deniro or Al Pacino always play themselves
