Madonna used her massive platform to support queer people when we needed it most at great personal risk. What more could we ask of her? 

 

EDIT: It sounds like her point is perhaps being intentionally misconstrued for a soundbite, but I stand by mine! I think there's this whole push currently that asks allies to both shut up and stay in their lane while somehow also wielding their power and privilege to help us which is a contradiction. Personally, I'd rather take the latter.

And we don't need you for anything. Madonna never "took over" the conversation nor was she our "spokeperson". Wtf did that come from? She simply showed support when no one else would. Plus, it's way easier for non-queer people to at least get exposed to queerness, and potentially show support too, through someone who has a massive gp reach. Who the **** is gonna pay attention to what Vincent has to say when she's barely even known within the lgbt community, let alone those outside of it. Dumb butch.

because she's had relationships with women. in the early 90s she did an interview with carrie Fischer, which strongly alluded to her preferring women over men, but that she also can't go without men either. but she doesn't like to label herself. I think she's bi, but that's just my opinion
