James_XL Posted August 16 Posted August 16 She lost me there for a second with BB/ANG3L but I'm hooked again. Flawless album with Nasty being the weakest by far. 1
Brooklyn Baby Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Another SKIPLESS project I will never unstan this woman WHO is doing it like her 1

CrossingTheCosmo Posted August 16 Posted August 16 The beauty of stanning Tinashe is that even if this project isn't your cup of tea, she has so many albums with a variety sounds. She literally has a little bit of everything for everybody while still giving you Tinashe. I like this project. Not my fave but neither was BB/Angel. I'm def more of a "Nightride", "Songs For You" girlie lol Thirsty, Cross The Line, and Getting No Sleep are the standouts to me so far. 6

The consistent sonic identity, too. You can draw a direct line from the best tracks on In Case We Die and Reverie to the best tracks on this project and hit something from every other major project she's released on the way. 3 3

Even Joyride which is her worst album is still a good project like... She truly doesn't miss 2

Its about what was lost because of red flags But it wasn't because of Red flags? No broke boys was added in place of that song. Sure we can say that Tinashe could have changed red flag instead but its just a bystander in relation to what actually happened. Besides, some of the tracks in QB were originally from BB/A so we can safely say that the third project will house them too. Edited August 16 by Indie Go Mind
crf13 Posted August 16 Posted August 16 (edited) Yeah I don't mind red flags at all now. It's very Nightride. But it doesn't change how we lost Enough. But still.. every song is fab! As great as it is that No Broke Boys seems to be getting its moment, I hope When I Get Alone gets some much deserved praise. (She has no choice but to eventually do a video for Thirsty) Edited August 16 by crf13 2

tylermw Posted August 16 Posted August 16 (edited) 1. No Simulation: 6/10 — It's not a bad song by any means, and the "love is true" melody is cute and could get stuck in my head for sure, but it's not anything to obsess over. A cute short album opener I guess? 2. Getting No Sleep: 8/10 — I've been bopping to this lately. I love the beat, especially those two heavy drum beats. A cute lil end of summer bop 3. Thirsty: 7/10 — I honestly did not care for this until I listened a few times and I'm definitely getting into it. Wish the beat went a little harder though.. feels like a 2024 version of Nightride or Something Like a Heartbreak 4. Red Flags: 7.5/10 —The first time I listened, I kept waiting for the song to go somewhere and it just stayed the same and then abruptly ended way too quickly, leaving me disappointed in the song. I just listened h*gh and I get it now. So beautiful when you appreciate it for what it is 5. Cross That Line: 7.5/10 — Also very Nightride-esque, which is such a fall/wintertime project for me. A bit darker than I anticipated for this EP, I'm still on summer time! I still love it, nonetheless 6. When I Get You Alone: 5/10 — Meh. If Nasty and Nightride had a baby, this is what it would sound like. I def need more time with this one. That second half though >>> 7. No Broke Boys: 7/10 — This is more of what I expected from the album after the success of Nasty, although this is bit formulaic.. I see them seeking another Nasty with this one 8. Nasty: 10/10 — Been a bop for me all summer long. Never gets old Again, nothing terrible, just nothing that I immediately fell in love with Maybe I just need more time with it, but def a little underwhelming Edited August 16 by tylermw forgot to add a rating 1

All I am saying is my opinion is that it should have gotten the chop instead. But its just subjective. And I dont think its a bad song. there's no knowing if enough will end up on pt. 3 because she likes to switch up 1
highdefinition Posted August 16 Posted August 16 no simulation & thirsty are amaze I wish she wasn't using her head voice on When I Get You Alone - the second part of the song is so good (I wish it was longer) I like the pre-chorus on no broke boys, but the chorus is like nails on a chalkboard idk how to feel about the project as a whole 1
sxmescudi Posted August 16 Posted August 16 will listen to the whole thing later but No Broke Boys is a bop 1
crf13 Posted August 16 Posted August 16 No because we need to talk about how thirsty and when I get you alone are discography highlights red flags and sunburn are sister songs 7
redsing707 Posted August 16 Posted August 16 I really like this EP. Not an instant click like BB/A but it's very good (even Red Flags). NBB is the stand out on the first listen. I will keep this as an EP for now and maybe in 1-2 month, I'll merge it with BB/A to have a full album I hope Enough will be on part 3. 1

Cruel Summer Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Honestly, Cross That Line might just be my song of the year. I'm already getting as deep into it as I did with Let Me Down Slowly (aka song of the decade so far, her best song, my favorite song, what they'll play in heaven if I go there when I die, etc). 3
