BB/A clears this easily. However, I think if this had come out during the tour like it was supposed to, it would feel more like a cute companion project. But then No Broke Boys wouldn't be in the album which may give her another hit so 1
Pacaveli Posted August 15 Posted August 15 @Supervillain, had "Zoom" ever been intended to be included on the project? 1
Midnightsun Posted August 15 Posted August 15 How could she choose Red Flags and Getting No Sleep over Enough? It literally makes zero sense 1
Pacaveli Posted August 15 Posted August 15 lol, "Red Flags" still sounds unfinished, although a tad; the project lacks cohesion and is much too short. But you know what, tbh? I had lots of fun while listening to it. 1
Midnightsun Posted August 15 Posted August 15 No Broke Boys is produced by Ricky Reed (same as Nasty) 1
Pacaveli Posted August 15 Posted August 15 "No Broke Boys" doesn't sound like a Lizzo tune to me whatsoever, lmao. 5

PartyFavor Posted August 15 Posted August 15 Thirsty is top 3 on this. She should keep working with Nosaj because Talk to Me Nice is also a career highlight. 2 1
Pacaveli Posted August 15 Posted August 15 I love the entirety of "No Broke Boys" except for the chorus; I even find its pre-chorus excellent, tbh.
rockwitu08 Posted August 15 Posted August 15 (edited) If anyone is interested in listening to my make up tracklist, I think I did a pretty good job at making everything cohesive Treason Talk To Me Nice No Simulation Getting No Sleep Gravity Needs Uh Huh Thirsty Red Flags Cross That Line None Of My Business No Broke Boys Nasty When I Get You Alone Tightrope Edited August 15 by rockwitu08 1 1

But I think No Simulation into treason works better since it should go into a more vulnerable song if she is "searching for the truth" i think of it like the intro to the opening track if that makes sense lol 2

4Walls Posted August 15 Posted August 15 Loved Tinashe since Aquarius and ngl this is very mid for her. Like each song isn't bad but lorddd they're kinda faceless and just……boring? Ugh. 1 1
YoungDreamer Posted August 15 Posted August 15 https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-album-reviews/tinashe-quantum-baby-review-1235080887/ First RS review since Joyride 3,5/4 2
ultraviolence.xx Posted August 15 Posted August 15 (edited) doesn't come even close to bb/angel for me, but i can't really complain because i LOVE getting no sleep/thirsty/cross that line/when i get you alone. so i'm at least getting 3 new loves. but loving 4/8 instead of 6/7 on bb/a... for me it's: thirsty (11) > getting no sleep (11) > when i get you alone (10) > cross that line (10) > no simulation (feel like it'll be a grower) > no broke boys (cute next to gorgeous) > nasty (never really been for me) > red flags (meh) Edited August 15 by ultraviolence.xx 1

crf13 Posted August 15 Posted August 15 Everyone finally understanding my prior meltdown regarding the inclusion of Red Flags (It's actually grown on me since then) but it's ridiculous she cut Enough. I love her, but this project isn't going to garner her acclaim and will most likely receive similar public reaction that she had with Joyride. It just feels like… it's not enough (pun intended). One more song would've made it feel more full. And again, we know she has better material sitting on her hard drive that she could've pulled out and replaced Red Flags with. Overall, my ranking would be: 1. When I Get You Alone 2. Thirsty 3. Getting No Sleep 4. Cross That Line 5. No Simulation 6. Red Flags (It sounds like a Nightride interlude idk, I can't help but choose that over the "hits") 7. No Broke Boys 8. Nasty 1
nuclear Posted August 15 Posted August 15 It took me literally two days for this page to load. Happy release week. These initial review has me worried. 1 3

Yeah what is going on with this website? Also, don't be worried, it's honestly all good music. I would say its just feels incomplete in a way, and thrown together. And not as strong as it should be coming off of a huge hit. 1 1
Tinashebanks Posted August 15 Posted August 15 (edited) This is a decent follow up 7.5/10. I kinda wish Red Flags was made into an interlude and enough was included. I don't get the NBB hate, she has way worse songs you guys have enjoyed and this has interesting production compared to Me So Bad/Pasadena. Edited August 15 by Tinashebanks 3
PartyFavor Posted August 15 Posted August 15 No Broke Boys was honestly such a good addition. I hope it does something for her. 2

Pulse Posted August 15 Posted August 15 On first listen, I'm vibing with Thirsty, When I Get You Alone and Cross That Line the most. I like No Simulation, it's giving intro vibes, love the melody. This one will be a grower, for sure. Red Flags seems unfinished and could've been an interlude, it goes nowhere and drags on too long. I hope No Broke Boys pays off, it's not doing it for me but I can see its trending potential. Overall, BB/ANG3L seems stronger for now. Probably because I was shaking and crying when I heard Treason for the first time.
