She's a 31 year old woman now, who has spent the last 5 years cultivating a career and fanbase independent of the label machinery. If you followed her more closely you'd see how that's changed her. I have followed her career very closely since the mixtapes. Again, her stating in interviews she doesn't care about a Grammy anymore over the years as an independent artist who didn't have much visibility with the public isn't changing where we are now. Her team IS campaigning for a Grammy nom for Nasty. And that's a good thing. There's nothing wrong with wanting to Tinashe to be in the same space as major label artists even if we can all agree it's always going to be an uphill battle for her as an independent artist. 7 hours ago, Kiss It Better said: and regarding the length we knew it would be 7 tracks each so what's new We wish it was 7 full songs… 6 full songs and an intro seems like the runtime will be even less than part 1's 21 minutes.

orange22 Posted July 17 Posted July 17 If y'all think you're getting part 3 this year you must be smoking on that new Green T or something 1 4

PartyFavor Posted July 23 Posted July 23 I still feel like even with Nasty doing okay on radio. Its dropped on streaming. And because of all the waiting, I feel like this release plan was fumbled. I don't know any more than her team does but it does seem like they should have released this mid-July WITH the chloe remix. still 3.5 weeks away and I don't know how they are going to get people interested in the project. Maybe its just back to our regular programming: arts not the charts

She's not big enough to have a hit and wait two months to release a project that was finished for a while. It should have came sooner to capitalize on the attention.

That would require Tinashe and her team to make intelligent business decisions, which they've consistently proven they're incapable of doing. 5
