The way she literally said in her Apple Music interview that she wants to show people "Nasty wasn't just a fluke." :rip:

Has she not learned from her... entire career and chart history up to this point?  If she's not going to do things differently, then she's going to get the same results prior to Nasty.  It's was the definition of a fluke but happy for her to get that win anyway.

Because including not only a skip, but a career low like "Red Flags" that already leaked weeks ago on an already short 7 track "album" thus leaving 6 songs -  2 of which are already singles… is not something to be hyped about, especially in the eyes of those who aren't too familiar with her discography, but have developed an interest in Tinashe post "Nasty." It's… anti-climactic. The stans aren't the only ones who are going to be wacking her on social media. But hey… she's committed to acting dIfFeReNt and that chart success doesn't matter to her in the slightest despite the fact that she's been working to keep "Nasty," afloat, which she wouldn't be doing if she didn't care about charting on some level. Quality isn't something we usually have to  worry about with her, but it is concerning when the body of work is so slim.

I knew it would likely be 7 songs but Red Flag is a boot, No Sleep is mid-decent and Nasty is a worse version of Needs :rip:

Hope the other 4 songs are Treason / Gravity level of excellence.... Also, can we get her long songs back? Bet, Cold Sweat, Know Better, Ghetto Boy.... like these are masterpieces

It just seems like ppl expects her to completely change her persona as an artist based on the success of Nasty, when in fact all this talk surrounding the album and era has been nothing short of fantasy the fans have been dreaming about, and not really based in reality. Yea the song leaked but it ain't her fault. If she likes the song she will release it. There are 4 songs that we haven't heard, and they could be fantastic for all we know. False hopes lead to meltdowns, better to just sit back and enjoy what comes out (or not).

The version of red flags that leaked is not the version that will be on the album.

That being said, its still a long wait for a very short project. I don't know where the random switching came from though, we pretty much knew this was the case and just hoped she would add more tracks off the success of Nasty.

Yeah idk where all this weird panic came from. The project will be great just like all the other ones

I think people just got worried cause a lot didn't like nasty (I like it) getting no sleep is mid, and red flags isn't that good. Which makes that almost half of the project.

8 songs would've been fine, especially if every song was great. But that's not the case in the slightest.

There's one thing a Tinashe fan knows how to do and that's complain!

Let me get this straight.

Ya ******* have been complaining for the last 2 to 3 pages. Over the fact that this project has 7 songs which ya knew it would since like last year. That two of which are singles cause like duh she would release another single before the project especially after nasty blew up. And that one of the songs on the project leaked that (ya don't like that was likely always going to be on the project) and you're dumb asses listened a month before the album. And now you only have 5 new songs to wait for (which if history repeats itself you will spoil that for yourself if it leaks)

The problem is that if you're going to drop a 7 track project a year then every song should be a 10/10… that's not a hard concept to wrap one's brain around.

Nobody's acting like we just found what the rollout strategy is today. You guys just can't stand when people critique her and her team. This is a pop music forum where people can express their opinions on a forthcoming album, like literally everyone else on this forum does.

I'm not complaining, but I get the ppl who do, after everything we went through I think we earned the right to be a little overdramatic and yearn for more.

Getting no sleep is immaculate, I don't know what you all are talking about. it fits the sound of the era and she is not going to change everthing last minute.

Well nasty wasn't originally on it. She replaced one of the original songs with nasty. It was an already short project. Why would you remove or exchange songs. Add nasty and another songs or two.

I knew we were getting 7 songs for part two but I thought part 2 was coming 5 months ago at least. Waiting a whole a year for 7 songs is not it (now 4/5 new song).

this should have been a 2 part only, I cant believe she will drag this project for a whole year before we get the pt III.

anyway, I hope she does a EU tour and she could add that kaytranada collab on this and make a 8 tracks act.

it's looking more & more likely that once again there won't be no physicals ready for release week. I'm lost for words on that.

I rarely post but I have to say I see both sides. I've been a fan of this girl since 2014, met her 5 times, seen her in concert 5 times so I support her down. I LOVE that she's doing something different by doing a trilogy. Is it being handled in the best way? Absolutely not. I'm annoyed that it seems like she's releasing them a year apart. I get what @crf13 was saying; if it's going to be a short project, every song should be a bop but because this is a full album split into 3 parts, each part will have a filler or 2 because on a 21+ track album there are bound to be a few. Having said that, it makes the trilogy anticlimactic if we know, most likely, not EVERY song will be a 10/10. Regardless, we've been getting fed consistently every year since 2019 and we still got the third part next year so at least we can rely on her for being an actual artist who doesn't wait years between releases and besides a filler or 2, there will def be some gems to come. And hopefully no more trilogies after this 🫠😅
