I'm gonna get dragged for this but I do think we POC gays collectively need to separate ourselves from the white gays, but we ain't ready for that conversation.

while it is weird a lot of famous gay/bi black people apparently only date whites, is not azelia herself one of them.... ive only seen her with white partners :deadbanana2:

Steve Lacy came out and said he doesn't date black men because he sees them as brothers/family. I remember when he had Tumblr and I asked him something about his sexuality and it made headlines. :deadbanana4:

But it was a discussion of what kind of guys he'd date that sparked controversy: Lacy revealed that he's not interested in black men as romantic partners.

"Okay i get that you see it as a preference," one commenter replied, "But don't you think you owe it to yourself to break down the dynamics that lead you to have a blatantly anti-black preference in partners?"

But Lacy rejected the notion he was prejudiced: "The reason for it all isn't anti-black at all," he replied. "Growing up around black males, they were always my competitors ya know? I never viewed or saw myself doing anything sexual with my neighbors. I literally, like I said, see them as brothers."  "As much as you or whoever thinks this sounds like b.s., it's from a real place," he added. "I'm a ***** from Compton, I don't dislike black people, I prefer to live here and be around POC because I love black people. I'm just not attracted to black boys, that is it. I still love them and want them to do well in life, we just won't date. Sorry.”

I am very surprised she didn't mention Jerrod in her rant. His new HBO Max reality show is... something else lol

While I do think a black gay power couple would be dope and revolutionary, you can't force two people to date or to force anyone to date who they don't want to date. Also, don't she date white dudes herself?

All that being said, I think she coming for the wrong black queer men lol. Nas mostly dates black and I haven't seen/heard Tyler talking about any white dudes in a while. Not to mention, he's fluid. He was just with a biracial chick year before last and I also think he "low-key" likes black trade.

Speaking of Tyler, he's in the first episode of Jerrod Carmichael's new show and their storyline is basically the plot of Igor. Iykyk.

This very WEIRD and tribal behavior of ***** and ****** watching for same race sexual activity is honestly psychotic.

It's never about character of the people partaking, it's dehumanizing aspects of ability and resources. When will black people be free of self-harming beliefs?

But more importantly, both tyler and nas x are GARBAGE so it's funny to see people look to them for representation. Standards are LOW and people are clearly desperate.

The nicknames were funny though.

This is the biggest load of BS and I keep seeing this from mostly Gay POC. I grew up on a predominantly black neighborhood and still attracted to my own race as well as others. There's something deeper they refuse to unpack.

Can someone explain to me why people, black, white or otherwise, always try to make it a (racial) moral argument to force black people to be with other black people and condemn them for any interracial dating? No one does that with Asian people, mixed Latinos, or anyone else and say that, say, an Asian woman dating a white man makes her less Asian or a "traitor" to her race. The only close equivalent is white supremacists telling other white people to not date interracially (except with Asian women)

How can you say "love is love" in support of queer people but then try to regulate who they love based on race? It's a contradiction

I think your deliberate obtuseness in choosing to interpret my casual statement as advocacy for a government-run racist system of forced inequality is a you problem (and maybe another slight example of why my statement is kinda true)… those of us who know what I mean, know exactly what I mean :coffee:

You gathered that from a single response. But called me obtuse. Segregation isn't a government run system. They aren't mutually exclusive.
if you'd like to debate this further, PMs are open. I'm prepared to shred you, as someone with degrees in psychology, anthropology, and sociology. I'm waiting

The audacity of some folks trying to dictate who people should or shouldn't date. Like, it's none of your damn business because it's not your relationship. :toofunny3:
