The production is great, that sliding synth around 1:15 is so cool sounding. I was a big fan!

I know this is a classic but I still feel like you're very brave for sending a 2000s piano ballad lkaskdfajs. This song is very very beautiful, unfortunately for you this playlist is very strong for me so it's not gonna snag a 12 or anything but I would say this is her best, it's just very well written and I used to play it on the piano all the time

It was a slow burn, at first I was only like "oh cute" but as I've spent a handful of months with this album I've realized how brilliant it is and I love its whole aesthetic. This song is no exception, she has a great voice and her melodies are very fun, I can definitely tell she has some experience with jazz which I love. It's just so demure and immaculate, major points from me! Personally my favorite by her has become Crooked House but this one is definitely up there. It's very poppy and adorable, and it's surprisingly really dynamic with the soft prechorus going into the louder, anthemic chorus. The very slight glitchiness was absolutely delicious. It's like a tad over compressed with the loud low boom in the chorus but just a minor comment

Tbh while I do like this the round is just really strong for me and I wish this had a more levels to me, like it kind of stayed at the same 80% level the whole time, I wish it went somewhere like a breakdown, or the main synth chords dropping out for a bit, or something
Kelp Posted June 11 Posted June 11 Sinéad Harnett - Rather Be with You: Why did I think this was Sinead O'Connor at first and I was going to absolutely drag this aklsdfkjaslf. Idk why I was expecting to hate this but I really liked it!! Her voice is so clean and pure, very pleasing to the ear! The production is really nice, there's little bits of sounds that come in throughout the chorus that give it a nice percussive/bouncy feel while balancing with the smooth melodic-ness of everything else. I'm glad it dropped down to just the keyboard after the bridge, added some good levels 1
