Ella Fitzgerald - Dream A Little Dream Of Me (with Louis Armstrong)

starting with what seems to be a huge outlier.. and it's not a good one

Vanessa Williams - The Comfort Zone

it's not bad, but it is a bit repetitive

Siouxsie and the Banshees - Song From The Edge Of The World

hmm, i kinda like it! it's got a bit of dreamy undertones to it

Posted

Brandy - Sunny Day

this is also quite repetitive.. admittedly, it is a bit of an ear worm

Aaliyah - Choosey Lover (Old School / New School)

that guitar is so good! a nice combo with her voice. ima parrot the sentiment that the first portion outsold tho

Sade - Cherish the Day

ngl, it's so flat to me. there's no appeal

Shania Twain - I'm Holdin' On To Love (To Save My Life)

probably one of my favorites so far. it's fun

Shola Ama - Deepest Hurt

ooh, absolutelyyy. this is so good

Garbage - Temptation Waits

interesting! it's a bit noisy at times, but i like the chorus a lot

Posted

Toni Braxton - Talking In His Sleep

the speaking portions were kinda off-putting.. kinda dragged this down

Cocteau Twins - Sea, Swallow Me

production carries, yup yup. pretty decent overall

Monica - 'Cross The Room

i like thiiis. i'm bopping

Posted

Cocteau Twins - Pitch the Baby

production carries, yup yup. [2] this one is hitting

Jhelisa - Friendly Pressure (Into The Sunshine Edit)

this is so dancey. decent remix, i guessss

Shakira - Si Te Vas

i like it. it's a nice little pop rock moment

Posted

Snoop Dogg - Murder Was The Case

omg, i remember seeing this music video when i was a kid and being so scared of the Satan depicted nnn. anyway, real fun choice. it landed well with me!

Erykah Badu - 4 Leaf Clover

hmm a lil forgettable, but it's not terrible

Brandy - Learn the Hard Way

this is cute

Posted

A Taste Of Honey - Ain't Nothin' But A Party

we love to groove. this is fun and diff

INOJ - All I Want

i hate being so obvious, but wow… this is easily my favorite. love the glittery production. you did that

D'Angelo - Smooth

too dull for my liking

Whitney Houston - Thinking About You

the vocals sound so low. i'm not too fond of this

Posted

Ella Fitzgerald - Dream A Little Dream Of Me (with Louis Armstrong): absolutely HATE this type of music

Vanessa Williams - The Comfort Zone: I only know her biggest hit which I'm not too fond of, so this was a nice surprise

Siouxsie and the Banshees - Song From The Edge Of The World: this had potential but I don't really like her vocals

Brandy - Sunny Day: I only use the singles from this album

Aaliyah - Choosey Lover (Old School / New School): this had no business being this long, but ig it wasn't unenjoyable

Sade - Cherish the Day: I enjoyed every song I've heard from them in these games, I should finally get into their discography

Shania Twain - I'm Holdin' On To Love (To Save My Life): this bops enough for 1 or 2 points

Shola Ama - Deepest Hurt: never heard of this singer before, the song was alright

Garbage - Temptation Waits: it's no The Trick Is To Keep Breathing but it's still pretty good!

Toni Braxton - Talking In His Sleep: I would've preferred something from her 2000 album

Cocteau Twins - Sea, Swallow Me: every song I heard from them more of less sound the same, but it's a nice sound

Monica - 'Cross The Room: I liked this but also I agree with people saying there's something off with her voice at times

Cocteau Twins - Pitch the Baby: same as their other song

Jhelisa - Friendly Pressure (Into The Sunshine Edit): besides like 2 or 3 songs I'm not a fan of this type of music at all

Shakira - Si Te Vas: love this song and album, it gives me a lot of nostalgia

Snoop Dogg - Murder Was The Case: I expected something more energetic, it wasn't bad but I will never listen again

Erykah Badu - 4 Leaf Clover: came and went

Brandy - Learn the Hard Way: a typical Brandy song which is not necessarily a bad thing

A Taste Of Honey - Ain't Nothin' But A Party: it was kinda fun but they could've cut like half of its length

INOJ - All I Want: very cute song

D'Angelo - Smooth: it's decent but I don't think it's gonna make my top 10 I'm afraid

Whitney Houston - Thinking About You: not bad for a Whitney Houston album track

Posted

Ella Fitzgerald - Dream A Little Dream Of Me (with Louis Armstrong)

This was risky but didn't really pique my interest.

Posted

Vanessa Williams - The Comfort Zone

It felt like she was trying to pull a Janet on here but didn't quite get there. I guess she really went for the comfort zone x

Siouxsie and the Banshees - Song From The Edge Of The World

Idk it started and ended without me noticing anything.

Posted

Brandy - Sunny Day

This was very cute, vocal bible never disappoints.

Posted

Aaliyah - Choosey Lover (Old School / New School)

It was very chill, maybe just a lil bit too long in today's standards but I still liked it.

Posted

Sade - Cherish the Day

Very lovely and vibey, really enjoyed it.

Posted

'cross the room - one of my favorite songs on the inferior album called The Boy Is Mine

Shania Twain - I'm Holdin' On To Love (To Save My Life)

Not familiar with her stuff outside most of her singles but this was lowkey fun/cute.

Posted

Shola Ama - Deepest Hurt

No idea who this was so yeah this was a very nice surprise for me.

Posted

Garbage - Temptation Waits

Oh I liked this, still trying to get more into their discog but yeah this one was really nice.

Posted

Toni Braxton - Talking In His Sleep

Tried sending a Toni-adjacent song at some point but that song unfortunately charted, the highs of this song are really sth.

Posted

Cocteau Twins - Sea, Swallow Me

I guess this is one of their popular songs Spotify stats-wise but it didn't have the same effect on me the way some of the songs from Heaven or Las Vegas or Blue Bell Knoll did.

Posted

Monica - 'Cross The Room

I think there's something off with the song (in the technical aspect) but the song itself just didn't grab me.

Posted

Cocteau Twins - Pitch the Baby

Very biased and yes this is a lot better than the other CT song.
