Alongoria13 Posted April 6 Posted April 6 He did not lie, we ran out of interesting mainstream artists, all is bland and easy to digest nowadays. 2
The7thStranger Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Friendly reminder that Matty Healey enjoys watching black women be brutalized! 2
holyground13 Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Candy might be the most boring song I've ever heard but go off
ShouldersSideways Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Every time a celebrity says something like this it makes me think they know they've said something super wrong in the past and they're living each day in terror it's going to come out or resurface. 2
loliza Posted April 6 Posted April 6 He is right, i mean he didn't talk about the music but about the personality of the singers which is very lacking. How many of them have said anything about the massacre happening everyday? Especially if we compare with their statements about ucraine, the double standard is clear. Many of the stars of the past had personality, didn't do everything just to please the right people to have a return. Our faves nowdays talk about equality - refering to lgbtq+ because for them some people don't deserve any human right it seems - only because it's condivisible message by a large part of the population because in the past others have fought. 1
Thin White Duke Posted April 6 Posted April 6 (edited) I kind of agree with the boring part but coming from him it sounds funny If it was someone like Grace Jones and Björk talking, now... Edited April 6 by Thin White Duke 3 1
Taylor fanboy Posted April 7 Posted April 7 He's obviously tired of waiting for the resurrection of Taylor's best album. 1
Drowned8World Posted April 7 Posted April 7 (edited) he's not wrong. Can't remember anything memorable from the last 5-8 years. I feel like the last good year was 2013-2014. 2015-2016 being transition years and just ok. Probably Dua Lipa with Future Nostalgia was the most notable thing. The rest are mostly hiphop, reggaeton, tiktok songs and some try hard indie stuff. They all come and go quickly. the offended gays here lmao you all know your faves are boring too Edited April 7 by Drowned8World 1

Billie is coming too u have not heard of him since 2000? So, you only know 4 of his albums and missed out on the 16 others? It may be worth a deep dive. Afterall, the man is a legend. U don't get to 20 albums on the back of hot air.
stevyy Posted April 7 Posted April 7 I've had this discussion recently as well... when I learned that Sheryl Crow didn't even debut with her new album in America or 99% of all other music industries. The woman hates social media and how the music industry has developed and now I fear that she may quit music for good... despite being the voice of my soul. 1

Rev8 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 23 hours ago, Subomie said: I can't. I'm sure that the music that Robbie listens to is probably boring - mainstream white guys doing rock and pop. Yikes! But maybe if he expanded his horizons beyond the charts and beyond the insular bubble that he finds himself in, he might find that there's more exciting and varied music at his fingertips than ever before. He won't, though. He's just complaining for the sake of complaining. Old person stuff. I deffo agree but, who is that BABE in your avi??

In general, I agree with his sentiment, its just it doesnt apply to my fav
John Slayne Posted April 7 Posted April 7 what a random boomer rant. aurkay why are so many artists in the industry obsessed with matt healy though? like calling everyone 'beige' but then acting like 1975 is so edgy and different? make it make sense. 1
