Every time a celebrity says something like this it makes me think they know they've said something super wrong in the past and they're living each day in terror it's going to come out or resurface.

He is right, i mean he didn't talk about the music but about the personality of the singers which is very lacking. How many of them have said anything about the massacre happening everyday? Especially if we compare with their statements about ucraine, the double standard is clear. 

 

Many of the stars of the past had personality, didn't do everything just to please the right people to have a return. Our faves nowdays talk about equality - refering to lgbtq+ because for them some people don't deserve any human right it seems - only because it's condivisible message by a large part of the population because in the past others have fought.

he's not wrong. Can't remember anything memorable from the last 5-8 years. I feel like the last good year was 2013-2014. 2015-2016 being transition years and just ok.

 

Probably Dua Lipa with Future Nostalgia was the most notable thing. The rest are mostly hiphop, reggaeton, tiktok songs and some try hard indie stuff. They all come and go quickly.

I've had this discussion recently as well... when I learned that Sheryl Crow didn't even debut with her new album in America or 99% of all other music industries. The woman hates social media and how the music industry has developed and now I fear that she may quit music for good... despite being the voice of my soul.

Im not offended, my fav is pushing herself with every project and shows diversity like no other artist of today + there intent behind it. 

In general, I agree with his sentiment, its just it doesnt apply to my fav
