KatyPrismSpirit Posted April 3 Posted April 3 (edited) DESPITE initial beliefs of 'Smile' being a huge commercial flop, Katy Perry's two solo songs from the album, 'Never Really Over' and 'Harleys In Hawaii', each exceeded 500 million streams. So ATRL, why does Katy manage to do well despite being perceived as a flop? Here's some other 2020 albums and their amount of 500M+ solo songs Future Nostalgia: 5 folklore: 3 Positions: 3 Smile: 2 Plastic Hearts: 2 Chromatica: 0 Edited April 3 by KatyPrismSpirit 1

SoundsandSongs Posted April 3 Posted April 3 The album has 1.6 billion streams which isn't good but also isn't completely horrible. With the way Katy was described you'd think she is pulling Jlo numbers lol. 1

vale9001 Posted April 3 Posted April 3 isn't the album 4 years old now? 500M streams for some song for a 2020 album and after 4 years means very moderate streaming hits. I mean in this decade 500M streams in 6 months kinda means moderate hit too. 1

Sweeftie13 Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Am i the only one who think that Smile is one of her best musical project? It's a great album and the singles are very good : Never Really Over, Harleys in Hawaii, Daisies and album tracks like Tucker, Champagne Problems and Cry About It Later are good pop music, the only bad song is the title track. If only her label promoted better this album she could've had 2 great hits (HIA and NRO) and two top 15 hits (CAIL and Daisies) 4 2

Her stans used to brag in SYG bout how much promo its getting and how other mpgs are 'lazy' And it wasnt' just the in person promo, it had FOUR songs on TTH. If we want to do solo, lets do solo: 911 (Gaga mini single in italy/france) - 33k streams daily Small Talk #1 on TTH with ellen performance - 6K streams daily lets draw a line there also you are an xtina stan
