Beyoncé's COWBOY CARTER outselling rest of Top 5 as "TEXAS HOLD 'EM" plots Number 1 return

Saddle up! Beyoncé is currently outselling the rest of the Official Albums Chart Top 5, as COWBOY CARTER tracks for Number 1. The superstar's eighth studio album, COWBOY CARTER looks set to become Beyoncé's fifth solo record to reach the summit, predicted to join Dangerously in Love (2003), 4 (2011), Lemonade (2016) and RENAISSANCE (2022) in her tally of UK chart-toppers.

And that's not all! In a stunning show of true pop dominance, Queen Bey is also hoping "TEXAS HOLD 'EM" will bounce back to Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart later this week.

Boosted, of course, by the release of its parent album COWBOY CARTER, "TEXAS HOLD 'EM" is on course to ascend to the top of the Official Singles Chart for a fifth non-consecutive week.

Two more COWBOY CARTER tracks could also impact the Top 10; Bey's take on Dolly Parton's classic "JOLENE" (5) and "II MOST WANTED" (8), a duet with Miley Cyrus.

Has she ever had a chart double before? Maybe with CIL and DIL?

Yeah, she did with those. She also did a double in the US (H100 and BB200) in the same week, which I believe only a handful of acts have ever managed to do :clap3:

Her star power has grown tremendously here, considering when she was in the IASF album cycle she performed that legendary duet with Alexandra Burke and even that only made IASF go to number 9 💀,

5 weeks @ number one with a solo country song in a market that doesn't embrace country, plus outselling the rest of the Top 5, we're finally catching up!

Yes, she was so close last era too but BMS peaked at #2.

Funny that last era we missed out on the two US and UK double because BMS was #2 in the UK and now she'll miss it because TH'E will be blocked at #2 in the US. :toofunny3:

The London RENAISSANCE shows (most amount of shows in the world btw) did a number on the Brits x

I'm from Mexico and people used to claim she's not successful here.

Literally everyone I know knows Texas Hold 'Em and they they're not even fans.

Besides, I just went to the club on Saturday and they played 2 Bey songs with videos and even dancers which did the Single Ladies choreo.

Yeah, she's local.

Beyoncé is absolutely huge in the UK at the moment. The RWT shows last year had such an impact.

She was kinda a flop during B'day but IASF kinda saved her there. I think her star power increased tremendously after her performance at the Glastonbury; that's how she became so beloved there.

Yeah I stanned DiL and Destiny Fulfilled down but I didn't rly use B'Day as a kid. Deja Vu was alright and Irreplaceable was everywhere (not as big as it was in the US tho) but I never even heard any of the other singles until the Beautiful Liar re-release. I didn't pay attention to her again until IIWAB / Single Ladies and then started to stan again along with the rest of the UK. I was more into Gwen/Fergie/Nelly etc in 2006/2007 lmao

Strong agree, the '4' era was so huge for her here, especially Best Thing I Never Had, that was EVERYWHERE

Weird because Deja Vu/BL was number one there; as well as Irreplaceable & Check On It + Listen reaching the top tens but the album only managed to sell 300K standard and 100K deluxe. On the other hand, 4 is triple Platinum with one top ten hit.

I Am... is a million+ selling album there (wasn't even her first either) :toofunny2: It's perfectly fine that it only peaked at number 9 in such a competitive year.

I'm confused, IASF went #2 and was #7 on YE charts in 2009 (and charted in multiple other years of the YE UK Chart).

It originally debuted at #10 then dropped out of the Top 20 and "only" went back to #9 after the X Factor performance.

It peaked at #2 thanks to Sweet Dreams.  Basically, IASF started out poorly in the UK because of the average performance of B'Day here but she's been a force since.
