alexrex Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Does this mean Beyoncé is the actual music industry? Certain fanbase wont accept that 3 1 12 4
Ck.cR Posted March 30 Posted March 30 She has worked so hard for her status. I can't hate her for that. It is well deserved.
Mordecai Posted March 30 Posted March 30 (edited) I've never been the biggest Beyonce fan but these last two albums really have cemented her as one of the all time greats. I really did think she was past her commercial peak when none of her side projects after Lemonade really stuck but she proved us all wrong Edited March 30 by Mordecai 8
theweekend Posted March 30 Posted March 30 she's a living legend. she's made her way to it with BEYONCE and cemented it with LEMONADE. Renaissance Act I and Act II are just a legend in its peak. 2
Popular Post Burn Posted March 30 Popular Post Posted March 30 The most important artist of our times. There was The Beatles, then there was Michael Jackson, and now there is Beyoncé. 19 1 1 1 2
Popular Post trainsskyscrapers Posted March 30 Popular Post Posted March 30 She has thrived through Cassettes, CDs, Physical Singles, TRL/106 & Park, Digital Downloads, Piracy, Ringtones, Video Streams, and now conventional streaming across her 30-year career. Remarkable. 14 6

Popular Post Cruel Summer Posted March 30 Popular Post Posted March 30 Quote Beyoncé has remained relevant because of her willingness to evolve alongside them. Her embrace of new ideas and practices have set her apart as a leader in the industry and a veritable trendsetter. This is what it all comes down to. To treat Beyoncé as a simple contender in the pop girl game anymore just feels wrong. She's one of a very small handful of active artists - really, of artists ever - to make an impact on the level she's achieved, and she's proven her consistent relevance to music for going on three decades. And not just "oh she gets hits sometimes" relevance - like they said, she actually makes tangible, permanent differences. Yes, visual albums existed before Beyoncé stepped into that arena, but she undeniably rewrote that concept in the cultural consciousness and I feel strongly that she's going to do so again with whatever is composed with the visuals of the three acts. To have the commercial and cultural power she commands and also have such an acclaimed, exceptional discography is almost singular in music. I hope that my favorite artist is seen that way one day, and I know that a few other women like Madonna and Mariah have been put into that league, but it's not a very big club. I can count on one hand the discographies that I find as impressive as hers. She deserves the flowers she's getting right now. 5 11
