The song is great but do you think the song would've been even better if it featured Taylor Swift instead of Miley Cyrus?

A Taylor duet would have been a bigger event. But on a better pop song, not this country mess

No, the song works because Miley and Beyoncé have a similar vocal range. Their voices blend together so beautifully in those harmonies.

What does popularity have to do with it? Miley's vocals have always been > Taylor's. Taylor's standout strength is her pen. The pairing they went with was perfect

While it absolutely would have been an event, MIley can actually keep up with Beyoncé on the track and they sound amazing together. I'm not sure Taylor could keep up with some contestants on American Idol

As a fellow Ms Swift stan I genuinely have to ask how Taylor was supposed to hold up vocally on the track in your opinion? :deadbanana:

Taylor can't sing well enough to be on any track with Beyonce. She doesn't have the range.

"Taylor is more on Beyonce's level than Miley" Yuck. 'Yes" would've sufficed?

I don't think she'd fit on that track tbh:ninja:

Can atrl put some respect on miley's name for once? The girl has a fantastic voice, has been in the business for almost 20 years and is definitly more country than taylor.  Like not all has to be about popularity

I don't think she'd fit the sound of that song as well as Miley does. Miley does a good job there and fits the song the way it needs.

If there's a Taylor feature in the cards, then after the Bodyguard rumors, I could see her fitting on a remix of that song. She'd also be well-suited for something a little more somber. Maybe if there's a bonus track that has more of the calm energy of the Blackbird cover? (It would feel a little wrong to ask for Taylor to be added to that one in particular since the entire point was to feature Black country artists, but the sound itself is right, so that's why I imagine a similar bonus track or something).

Aw, of course this thread was created by you, cariño. Rough couple of days, I imagine.

Taylor is nowhere near Beyoncé's level as far as vocals goes. There's no need to set her up.
