Marry The Gods Posted March 30 Posted March 30 The song is great but do you think the song would've been even better if it featured Taylor Swift instead of Miley Cyrus? 4
Shimenawa Posted March 30 Posted March 30 (edited) A Taylor duet would have been a bigger event. But on a better pop song, not this country mess Edited March 30 by Shimenawa 3 6
Popular Post EdgeofTeeth Posted March 30 Popular Post Posted March 30 No, Miley is a significantly better vocalist 6 21
wish Posted March 30 Posted March 30 No, the song works because Miley and Beyoncé have a similar vocal range. Their voices blend together so beautifully in those harmonies. 9 1
LoveInStereo Posted March 30 Posted March 30 What does popularity have to do with it? Miley's vocals have always been > Taylor's. Taylor's standout strength is her pen. The pairing they went with was perfect 4
Blue Monday Posted March 30 Posted March 30 While it absolutely would have been an event, MIley can actually keep up with Beyoncé on the track and they sound amazing together. I'm not sure Taylor could keep up with some contestants on American Idol 2 8 1

FlyOnTheWall Posted March 30 Posted March 30 As a fellow Ms Swift stan I genuinely have to ask how Taylor was supposed to hold up vocally on the track in your opinion? 3
Jet Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Taylor can't sing well enough to be on any track with Beyonce. She doesn't have the range. 2
benyonce Posted March 30 Posted March 30 "Taylor is more on Beyonce's level than Miley" Yuck. 'Yes" would've sufficed?
loliza Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Can atrl put some respect on miley's name for once? The girl has a fantastic voice, has been in the business for almost 20 years and is definitly more country than taylor. Like not all has to be about popularity 6

Cruel Summer Posted March 30 Posted March 30 I don't think she'd fit the sound of that song as well as Miley does. Miley does a good job there and fits the song the way it needs. If there's a Taylor feature in the cards, then after the Bodyguard rumors, I could see her fitting on a remix of that song. She'd also be well-suited for something a little more somber. Maybe if there's a bonus track that has more of the calm energy of the Blackbird cover? (It would feel a little wrong to ask for Taylor to be added to that one in particular since the entire point was to feature Black country artists, but the sound itself is right, so that's why I imagine a similar bonus track or something).
Scars Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Aw, of course this thread was created by you, cariño. Rough couple of days, I imagine. Taylor is nowhere near Beyoncé's level as far as vocals goes. There's no need to set her up. 2
