Day 5 | Cowboy Carter: 38 million

Why am I feeling that this started MUCH MUCH BETTER than everyone expected, but it's not holding as well as it should?

I feel like no song is sticking, unlike Ariana's that has 2 more songs apart from the singles that are pretty much stable and/or gaining a lot of days after the release.

Don't get me wrong... Coz if I'm honest, none of the albums clicked with me tbh, so I'm not trying to start any beef, before you cheerleaders start raining...

Columbia needs to push another single aside from just Texas Holdem which is actually quite stable (increased today). An album that relies just on one hit will naturally fall faster than an album with other pushed singles. II most wanted still hasn't been sent to radio, it's ridiculous.

Bey should not be compared to a much newer artist. Let's compare her streams to her actual peers, she's doing 10x better.

Well yes she should. We have established she does better than her peers. The expiration date on that excuse has long past gone. As a stan, like let's not trying the weird coping mechanisms.

We're stanning her DOWN this era! :WAP:

She's repeaking in the UK :gayoncecat3:

The US is still in the holiday spirits, some is still asleep, some still hasn't woken up…. It'll smash the Virgo returns!

Nice! Beyonce is truly bigger in UK than US tbh. UK deserves more tour dates. How big does Bey feel in the UK right now? Compared to her other eras.

Whew! The consistency :clap3:

The US can suck a dick. This is the country that stans the genre but can't get over a black woman doing it. They also just have terrible taste in general. They can push the Miley song and then let it do mediocre on radio or whatever

I hate my country (UK) but at least we're doing Bey right :jonny6:

I think the question is - Is Bey underperforming on streaming overall relative to the current darlings, or is she just performing worse on Spotify and better on Apple Music.

She feels bigger than she's been since IASF.

ATM Only Taylor feels bigger from female artists.

Y'all care way too much about numbers especially when you speak about someone like Beyonce. Enjoy the music people

What do you base that statement on? I feel like I don't see nearly enough Bey stanning in the wild outside gay clubs.

I mean in terms of charts at least she's been doing very well:

- Texas is about to be #1 for a 5th week, CC will be #1 in the same week so Bey will have a chart double

- BMS reached #2 and Cuff It reached #5

- Texas and BMS both reached #1 on UK radio, Cuff It reached #5 on radio

I felt that way during Renaissance but I feel like she's been everywhere since the Renaissance tour and THE.

I personally haven't heard her music playing this much or seen my colleagues, friends and family talk about her like this in years.

I live in London though so that could be a factor, but I think the tour gross, single and album success reflect it too.

Agreed, you don't get stable 5 week #1s, top 5 hits and 2 radio #1s with just a gay fanbase. She clearly has GP and radio support.

You think it makes sense to compare Beyoncé to someone who debuted in 2013 and who's entire career is in the streaming era? :hoetenks:

Beyoncé's actual age peers are Justin and Alicia, and well......

She needs to push Tyrant.

The problem with this album is there are SO many possible single choices, kinda like Renaissance. There is no obvious choice for 2nd single cause Bodyguard, Ya Ya, Tyrant, II Most Wanted & Levii's Jeans could all do very well.

With Renaissance, it was really just Cuff It & Alien Superstar (on release). AHAP went viral and the rest is history.

Again. And again. We have said how she compares against Alicia and whoever. Comparing her to them does nothing but stroke the hive's ego.

As stans, compare her album against who is CURRENTLY charting if she is also CURRENTLY charting. Why is that so hard to do?
