I'm surprised that American Requiem lost 35%, it seems like the first part of the album has low replay value for casual listeners. Blackbird and Protector also lost around that. A bit anxious for today's update since it's for Sunday, those are awful for her. And this time a holiday. I feel like the interludes have probably lost a lot, after 2 days, there's no reason for casuals to still use them so I hope at least one of the songs you mentioned stabilized. The album starts off very slow, and does not pick up until Texas (which is Track 7). It will take the GP time to get used to it. I do feel they will be steady in the long term though. She has the iHeart Radio show tomorrow so hopefully that helps with consistency. 1
bringdanoize Posted April 1 Posted April 1 and that's it? with 27 tracks and the most popular genre of music now? I don't get why people are acting like this is a smash. 8

It's based on how catchy and digestable the tracks are. AR is long and not something a casual listener would listen to on repeat so the fall makes sense 1

SoundsandSongs Posted April 1 Posted April 1 1 hour ago, bringdanoize said: and that's it? with 27 tracks and the most popular genre of music now? I don't get why people are acting like this A simple google search would tell you Pop and HipHop still have higher market shares in the US and worldwide country is not popular. Morgan Wallen, the biggest country star's last smash album One Thing at a Time was extremely local and only charted in US, UK, Australia/NZ, Ireland, Canada and Norway. Beyonce is doing much better globally than Morgan and any other country singer. About the 27 tracks, only 24 count. This has been explained again and again so don't embarrass yourself. 24 is only 1 more track than SOS which everyone agrees smashed.
