Popular Post Tm4074 Posted March 30 Popular Post Posted March 30 Bey had the last laugh AGAIN. ATRL loves to bring up big career peaks to prove their fave is bigger but Bey has shown that being consistent and staying true to your artistry always pays off in the end. She is by far the defining artist of our generation. Always pushing herself that's why she's still here while her peers struggled later in their careers. 17

Bey had a bigger longevity AND bigger peak then all her peers. When it's all over she will be the only one with a chance to stand above even Madonna. 4

Look I'm a stan so if she does 400-450 then ofc I'm happy but I'm tempering expectations.
BreakinTheIce Posted March 30 Posted March 30 I'm not gonna say these numbers aren't good, but given that there are *27 songs* on the album, and the nationwide "hype" that is always pushed on us about Beyonce, I don't find these numbers particularly incredible. 1 22

I. AX Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Not a big fan of the album but we can't deny her legend status.

CovalentBondage Posted March 30 Posted March 30 It's nice when mediocrity isn't the only one winning. What a legend. 5

What numbers would have been incredible for a woman in her 40s who has been doing it for 25 years, BreakTheIce?

U have got to be kidding. Lol. Who else is doing these numbers besides Taylor, Drake who is 25 yrs into their career. Xtina? JT? Pink? J-Lo? Those are her peers and she's demolishing them all
Cardcaptor Sakura Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Who would've thought? Lemme listen to it real quick. congrats Bey, well deserved. She's such hard working woman

pimmelfratze Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Funny how people here say that she accomplished this despite it being a country album - like it is a given that a country album was expected to do worse. It did better number BECAUSE it is a country album. It made people curious about it - now time will tell if the interest lasts 9

She is not a white woman. Kacey musgraves even had hell from them folks. Anyway Cowboy Carter is a beyonce album like she said. The album has different sounds just like Renaissance did.

Even Taylor's country albums did significantly less streams than the pop ones

Let alone a 42-year-old black woman who has been in the industry for nearly 3 decades? Such a nonsense take. It's embarrassing when people can't just give credit where it's due, regardless of whether you like the artist or not. These numbers are incredible. Let the know!!!!!
