Houdini doing 2.5M after 5 months since its release. Why?

Some of the girls in this forum told me it was a total flop, so why is this old song performing better than some of the new, highly anticipated releases?

we're told to wait 4-5 months each time she releases so that's probably why :clap3:

A huge grower. I use it daily now despite not enjoying it for months

It's still not an big hit.

You're all obsessed with Spotify but hits need to be organic.

I thought Dua stans were the ones talking a lot about "organic hits".

Even in the UK the Song Is #51 this week on Just Its 19th week.

It wasn't a big organic hit even if there are a limited group of people on Spotify using the Song (also because of playlists).

so accept It and move on. :lakitu:

(It's not a flop too).

But i thought Swifties were the ones that told us Spotify numbers is the only metric that matters? So that doesn't apply to Dua? How convenient

It's a good song and she's popular enough, she doesn't have a big/super passionate fanbase that goes hard, but she still has a big amount of people checking out her music and they're enough to support her projects in the long run.

It's not a big hit but it's faaaar from a flop. It's an underperformance compared to DL/FN singles, but at the same time it didn't receive 1/5 of that push. If Levitating and DSN got this treatment they probably wouldn't have done as good as Houdini either.

ATRL needs to learn that her singles are always slow burners, they smash months later after release

You can't be stan. You're setting her up from when the album underperforms at best and bombs at worst. You know the heavy push that song got at the start cost the label a lot of money. And the return is middling.
