SweetTalker Posted March 25 Posted March 25 (edited) Will Ms Cardi B's new single prove to be a lasting top 10 SMASH? Or will it tumble down like her peers' latest efforts? Bonus question: Do you think Miami will be above or below Sexyy Red's new single during their 2nd week? Edited March 25 by SweetTalker
SweetTalker Posted March 25 Author Posted March 25 For context, Sexyy is predicted to debut in the top 25 despite outstreaming Miami. (She has basically no sales versus Cardi's 30k+ sales)
KatyPrismSpirit Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Cardi B is #80 on US spotify. Without these versions and radio she is literally doomed 2
theweekend Posted March 25 Posted March 25 ofc the lapdogz are already here and they will post several threads nobody's interested in cardi when they can't take her off her mouths
xfreshkidxx Posted March 25 Posted March 25 The way she had to release 12 versions to avoid being outcharted by Sexyy (who her fans swear is a flop) because her song completely overshadowed Enough. 1

Afterglow Posted March 25 Posted March 25 It'd weird how it's changed, a few years ago I would've expected a Cardi single to debut top 5 with minimal effort and stay top 10 for a few weeks. But I say it'll be top 20, maybe top 40 next week. She shouldve released her album with this single. Would've given her more buzz.
suburbannature Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Barbz in here talking about free-falling and multiple versions. Zero self-awareness 2 2 6

But you already knew that so don't forget to add context 1
MALAMENTE Posted March 25 Posted March 25 It will for sure do better than anything Nicki Minaj has released in the past year 2

If there's many new releases this could also impact it on the Hot 100.
EriKills Posted March 25 Posted March 25 We're being told it's a SMASH hit, with this being her lead single and the 10+ versions this should EASILY snatch another top 20 for the "my records live in the top 10" chanteuse!!! 1

lg6chromatica Posted March 25 Posted March 25 (edited) Nobody said the song was a smash hit. It's just a cute Top 10 hit, something y'all swore Cardi would never see again in her career. Hell, the way ATRL was talking, anyone would be shocked the song even hit Top 40...what with Cardi supposedly being shelved by Atlantic and everything. But if Nicki Minaj stans want to talk about post-debut drops, we can definitely do that. Edited March 25 by lg6chromatica 2 1 1
