Like Britney, both JT/JB are seen as "All-American" and "clean cut", straddle both pop & Urban music, and have latched themselves to the pop/Urban superstar of the previous generation (Usher, Michael Jackson ---> Janet Jackson in Britney's case), but JB wins solely for that period (2014/2015) where it looked like he was about to lose it all: DUI, Assault charges, altercations with paparazzi.
