Especially the boy what you gon do parts, is the mixing or something else changed? I'm confused it kinda sounded better on snippets You guys are disliking a post for asking "is the mixing changed" i was one of the few people who were actually excited for this song, it'll probably grow on me but at this point y'all are literally asking people to hate normani or her stans lol 1 1
Sad Beautiful Tragic Posted April 25 Posted April 25 She better be dropping the video for this. I actually love Gunna's verse I might be in the minority here, but this is hitting more than Wild Side for me?

Sad Beautiful Tragic Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Phone ringin', it's you, I'm on that time You on it too, what's on your mind? I'm on it too (Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh) Call me, I come through, I fantasize You want it two times on our side, clocks in the rooms (Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh) Back on that vibe again It's hard to fight again ****, we can't hide again (Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh) 1
Motivation93 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I want her to announce the album release date ughhhhh give it to us queen 1
Motivation93 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I do agree though that the wild side release felt more cinematic. This does give buzz single vibes and if there's no video that proves it. I be stressing

She just wants to release a good body of work, and I believe she will. To be honest, fans shouldn't feel like she owes them anything. Judging by Candy Paint and 1:59, I think Dopamine will be an outstanding body of work and will go onto be critically acclaimed.

Movimento Perpétuo Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Personally, I really loved this. It's a very cute song but at the same time, I can't see this being a hit tbh. Hopefully I am wrong tho
Saint Posted April 25 Posted April 25 it's real cute. the mix is definitely different and a bit more heavy when it should've kept that original softer feel for this type of vibe. makes me wish they would've just dropped the whole album at once cause this gives album track that would sound better in context vs. on its own.
James_XL Posted April 25 Posted April 25 She's so decided on this being her sound but it feels so bland and uninspired to me. I really hope it works for her so she can try something poppier again in the future.
Sad Beautiful Tragic Posted April 25 Posted April 25 When I get you alone Boy, what you gon' do with it?

Both her parents battled cancer, and she put her career on hold to be there for her family. Once they recovered, she returned to the studio with a fresh perspective. Seriously, give the girl a break.

Writing and recording sessions with Max Martin, music videos directed by Dave Meyers, film soundtracks, touring with an A-list pop star (Ms. Grande), televised late night and award show performances, pushed singles with established artists (Sam Smith and Khalid), featured in music videos for A-list artists (Kendrick Lamar and Cardi B), Savage X Fenty sponsorship, Cardi B feature, and far more. Her team and label has done more than enough. Easily the most supported debut artist since before the streaming era. She's just not delivering and people aren't buying. Let's stop with the narrative because it's clearly false. "Her team" as if she didn't get almost all of those oportunities by HERSELF because people love her and know she is super talented. Sam Smith and Khalid wanted to work with her, Kendrick and Cardi wanted to work with her, Ariana knew Normani was a killer for a opener. You're giving a lot of credits to the label and team when in reality she's been working hard for longer than 10 years to be seen. 1
harmonizeme89 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I really hope this is a buzz single and then releases Candy Paint as the lead. I like it but it's just a bit lackluster for me after all this time.
Dottie Hinkle Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Does she have a music video for this? If yes why hasn't she teased it? Her team makes her move like Beyonce and now she's teasing Candy Paint on tiktok again

So who do you think sat down with their people, negotiated these business moves, negotiated pay, reviewed and contractually reviewed these offers, signed those agreements, and made these things come to fruition? Magic? 2
bielneira Posted April 25 Posted April 25 She should've promoted it more intensively this past few days/weeks because I literally don't hear anyone talking about this release anymore.
