Im not he biggest fan of her .... but,

If you get bad service or product you paid for, you should leave a bad review. It is absolutely normal

 

People are used to complain to friends and family after closed doors but don't say it directly to the person or to establishment it should be addressed to.

? fill in the gaps of detail babe the receptionist clearly didn't believe they could pay for the room and was trying to undercut them in a "subtle" way

 

edit: even if this wasn't the case and it truly came from an incompetent place, this is the reason why you should never do that. it can come across very wrong and it can potentially distract you from the reason you even booked the hotel in the first place (business trip or vacation, in neither cases you want to be pulled aside for things like these)
