smartalek22 Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Well it bombed we need to move on, why is the promo for this just falling flat? Another single please, dont take another 2 months I can't take it any longer. Is this just Ava's lead single curse or something because it was same story with Maybe Youre The Problem
Patrickern777 Posted May 12 Posted May 12 I miss how popstars promoted their eras back in 2010 decade, everyone this days wanted the song to smash on TikTok
tjspy Posted May 12 Posted May 12 (edited) This hit me better lately. I lowkey hated it after 2 listens because of how nothing is sounded. However, now I'm understanding it more Edited May 12 by tjspy
Stunnah Posted May 12 Posted May 12 (edited) Yeah, this came and went. Still listen to it occasionally. The label did absolutely nothing for it beyond the video, which is strange. I figured one Whatever calmed down that Warner would push it. But that song just reached a new peak in daily filtered streams the other day (almost 1.8 million), so I have no idea what's happening or what they intend to do. It must be hard trying to find a groove after exclusively working with Cirkut for so long. Whatever is racking up some nice certs, though. Gold in Canada and France and silver in the UK. Tyrion_LMG Posted May 12 Posted May 12 (edited) If they are waiting for a hit to release the album they are commiting the same mistakes than in the past Edited May 12 by Tyrion_LMG

Her management since her sophomore era began has been god awful

ATRL Moderator kelly-clarkson Posted May 12 ATRL Moderator Posted May 12 I'm surprised most of y'all didn't like the song. The final chorus is FIRE It has so much replay value for me! The production is amazing too!

A trasitikn structure would've helped this song immensely First verse Chorus, post chorus Second verse Chorus, post chorus Bridge Chorus, post chorus
KLatz Posted May 12 Posted May 12 (edited) A shame this is not going anywhere because it's a big slay It's like The Motto's c***ier younger sister Edited May 12 by KLatz 1
CottageHore Posted May 12 Posted May 12 The song is a generic mess so it flipping isn't a shock. She can't keep doing this cheap ass "sample a random song" and barely do anything interesting lyrically or sonically and expect the GP to keep eating it up. It was cute the first two times because we love a throwback, but now it's her entire identity as an artist and it's tired 1
skwonderfactory Posted May 12 Posted May 12 I hope she announces her next album very soon and releases a second single with a music video. She can continue her 14 -16 songs length trend. I think it's best for a second single and album pre-order on May 31st. An ideal album release date would be August 16th. Not too far away so everyone would still remember her and have it fresh in their minds we are in Ava Max's third era. (I honestly still believe if Diamonds & Dancefloors stuck to its original October 2022 release date it would have been more successful but that's a whole another conversation). A perfect title would be Sequins & Seduction. 2 1

Supervillain Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Alright... what the hell is going on? Ava, girl, My Oh My was supposed to be your grand comeback, but it flopped beyond human brain's capacity. It's like you're not even trying anymore. Where's the passion? The fire? The fierce promo we've come to expect from our pop girls? Instead, we got a half-baked release with minimal promo and a video that screams "budget cuts." Where were the promo appearances? The live performances? The interviews? Ava, we need you on every talk show, every radio station, every TikTok trend. Instead, you dropped My Oh My and vanished into thin air... It's like you don't even care about your own career anymore. And let's talk about the video. Sure, it had some cute choreography, but it felt more like a high school talent show than a professional music video. No shade to Hunter Moreno, but where was the creativity? The storyline? The iconic looks? The outstanding ideas? And don't even get me started on the social media presence. Ava, sweetie, your Instagram game is weaker than a decaf latte. You need to be engaging with your fans, hyping up your releases, creating buzz. Instead, it's like you're in witness protection or something. The gays are waiting, and you're giving us crumbs! The fact that My Oh My didn't even crack the top 100 in major markets is a testament to the lack of effort. I mean, we get it, not every song is going to be a Sweet but Psycho but girl, give us something to work with. You can't just release a song and expect it to chart without putting in the work. It's like you've forgotten the basic rule of pop stardom: you gotta hustle, baby! Ava, we love you, but you need to step it up. This lack of enthusiasm is not a good look. We need the old Ava back, the one who gave us massive bops and fun moments. Until then, My Oh My will remain a sad reminder of what could have been. Step your game up, sis. The pop world is waiting, and the gays need their queen back in full force. 1 4

That's the only issue I have with the song rlly, it's like the label want it to appeal to a lesser attention span audience, but in reality it's not transcending us anywhere, D&D was better at that despite being short tracks though I have hope since she's worked with some of the Co-Producers on D&D for the best tracks such as 'Dancing's Done' which is definitely a sound I could take more of 1
makeawish Posted May 18 Posted May 18 yeah, i thought this was quite fun as a one off tune, i liked it, but if there's a full album of this i'm gonna get really mad, i cannot imagine sitting thru 40 minutes of this 2
Kern Posted May 24 Posted May 24 This is still probably the best song I heard since Bohemian Rhaspody
original_lifeline Posted June 9 Posted June 9 thank god this dud is not on the album. it was such a downgrade from D&D which was an excellence front to back
