Exactly, GP was not anticipating or wanted a joint album or a soundtrack from Beyonce. In the eyes of the GP and Charts, Renaissance is her first Studio Album since Lemonade. That's why The Gift and EIL were not indicators of her future success. Because they were seen by the GP as side projects.

If this was a MPG not only would it be 15+ pages it'd be full of people laughing, mocking and ridiculing with gifs and memes. The way some of these pickmes make excuses for mediocre men and is another discussion for another time. Also, I don't think is as much about a 20 year old break-up tbh. People have short memories and the news cycle moves way too fast nowadays. I think just think JT's audience has moved on and I say this as someone who used to love him but there's nothing rly there anymore... the music, the look, the era, the personality, it's all just not rly interesting anymore. Long threads are only long threads if they encourage debate/back and forth. There’s very few people willing to defend or debate about JT, so you shouldn’t expect pages of pages of people just saying the exact same thing.

NEX Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Deserved. The first few songs make you want to give on the album. Most of the best songs are at the end
UnanimousBB16 Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Is anyone really shocked? "Man of the Woods" showed a SEVERE decline, and that was 6 years ago, where he became less relevant as the years went on, and streaming became more popular. The truth is, his time as a successful music artist has passed, and he really has nothing to say in his music. While the album is better than "20/20 Part 2" and "Man of the Woods", there is no momentum whatsoever, and I don't ever see him getting it back. 4
Ivan_brit Posted March 16 Posted March 16 This is bad… RCA did a good promo for this album The album is actually decent… but yes it was not a good time to release it

Lemonade - 2016 Everything Is Love - 2018 The Gift - 2020 Renaissance - 2022 If anything, Beyonce is playing this the smartest because she releases a new album every two years. Rihanna, Taylor, Ariana, The Weeknd, Drake and Bieber all showed us that the most important way to increase streams and keep them high is to constantly release and do collabs so your page is linked with other artists. These solo releases and long waits are what are killing our faves. At this rate, I'm not sure EITIW will ever catch up to Circus' first week sales. Justin was smart enough to keep threatening us with several collabs and droplets every year this decade, but unfortunately, it didn't do much for him. 2020 - Believe (w/ Meek Mill) 2020 - Don't Slack (w/ Anderson .Paak) 2020 - Better Days (w/ Ant Clemons) 2020 - The Other Side (w/ SZA) 2021 - Just Be (w/ DJ Khaled) 2021 - Innocent (w/ Justine Skye) 2022 - Parent Trap (w/ Jack Harlow) 2022 - ICU (Remix) (w/ Coco Jones) 2022 - Stay with Me (w/ Calvin Harris, Halsey, Pharrell Williams) 2022 - Sin Fin (w/ Romeo Santos) 2023 - Keep Going Up (w/ Timbaland and Nelly Furtado) 2023 - Better Place (w/ NSYNC) 2023 - 3D (Remix) (w/ Jungkook) All these shameless bombs are enough to make an entire album, yet his fans have the nerve to pull the "he took a long break!!11" excuse 1

The Carters’ stream count doesn’t show up on Beyoncé’s profile, but ALL releases help an artist’s overall streams. If you listen to The Carters, your phone will start recommending Beyonce/Jay-Z songs afterwards. That playlisting boost always helps. Beyonce didn’t take a six year hiatus and that’s a huge part of why her streams are still so high, comparatively. 1 hour ago, Into The Void said: You still did not provide where you got the 6/7m streams from even though I showed receipt of what it shows on the Artist page. When it shows “3/15,” that means the update was done on 3/15 and the numbers are from 3/14. Kworb will update in 5 hours and show the date as “3/16” and it’ll have yesterday’s total streams. 31 minutes ago, Anticipating said: At this rate, I'm not sure EITIW will ever catch up to Circus' first week sales. The Carters has/is having little to no effect though, The Carters pull a tragic 137k daily streams across all songs. That's less than 1% of Beyonce's (excluding carters and DC) 16.2m daily streams. Any playlisting boost is very minimal especially with how terrible the streams are. Crazy in Love alone does around 10x The Carters streams daily. 1 1

I know how kworb works. It usually updates around 2-3 pm my time. That's if the artist page does update a few are 2 or 3 days behind some days. Charlie Puths page sometimes will show 3/12 when it's 3/16 they slack. Edited March 16 by Into The Void
