Happylittlepunk Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Not variety really acting like Ariana is old. Man the entertainment industry is so brutal once you hit 30 huh.

Sheep Posted March 15 Posted March 15 (edited) 19 minutes ago, Inverted said: Since when was Ariana one of the greatest performers to come out of pop music? Both J.Lo and JT are much better performers. 18 minutes ago, stevyy said: JT is not one of the worst performers... lol. He sold just as many albums as Beyoncé and Gaga. And his live performances are outstanding. Performer wasn't the correct word I meant entertainer. Ariana's voice blows all of them out of the water, Madonna's creativity and songwriting ability are unmatched, etc. Jennifer and the other one are both mediocre jacks of all trades who in their prime relied on the abilities of other artists(whether it's producers, writers, film directors, or even ghost-singers) to prop them up. The second they stopped getting priority access to the best creatives in the business their careers dropped hard and fast. Madonna, Ariana(and so many other good examples pointed out in this thread like Kylie, Taylor, Beyonce, etc) will always have their unique talents to set them apart. This was the point of my original post but I was trying to be more succinct, hope this helps. Let's not compare the woman who wrote Ray of Light to the A.K.A and Man Of The Woods singers in the future. Age has nothing to do with this imo. Edited March 15 by Sheep 3 4
TROPICUM Posted March 15 Posted March 15 ariana catching a stray when mind you the biggest pop star in the world is a 34 year old woman even as a gen z the entire “too old” for pop topic is so deeply rooted in misogyny. whoever wrote this article clearly just added JT to escape that narrative… just corny 2
Erreur2 La Nature Posted March 15 Posted March 15 That's honestly such a weird article and the Ariana inclusion makes it even weirder
LOTF Posted March 15 Posted March 15 30 minutes ago, nadiamendell said: Who is funding the hate campaign against these two? I don't think anyone has to fund a hate campaign for JT. His image was soured with the revelations from Britney's memoir. But I don't get it for JLo lmao she's pretty much inoffensive 3 1
FantasyRide Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Damn..they’re whacking JLo like she’s back in the Gigli era..at least the movie got good reviews and did well on streaming. They sure are having fun kicking her while she’s down..someone must have it out for her there. 2
LittleStarmen Posted March 15 Posted March 15 I dont hink Jlo and JT floppiness is to due with age but with boring material
pisuke Posted March 15 Posted March 15 So Madonna is now aging gracefully because she sings hits in her concert? Make it make sense Variety.

Who is paying that writer for these dumb a** takes. As if JT's bombing isn't a direct continuation of the Superbowl/MOTW/Britney&Janet backlash + ageism
stevyy Posted March 15 Posted March 15 "I think that we've become very disconnected from the natural world and many of us, what we're guilty of, is an egocentric world view - the belief that we're the centre of the universe [...] and I think we fear the idea of personal change because we think we have to sacrifice something, to give something up, but human beings at our best are so inventive and creative and ingenious and I think that when we use love and compassion as our guiding principles, we can create, develop and implement systems of change that are beneficial to all sentient beings and to the environment. Now, I've been a scoundrel in my life. I've been selfish. I've been cruel at times, hard to work with and ungrateful. But so many of you in this room have given me a second chance. And I think that when we're at our best, we support each other, not when we're cancelling each other out for past mistakes, but when we help each other to grow, when we educate each other, guide each other towards redemption. That is the best of humanity. When he was 17 my brother wrote this lyric: Run to the rescue with love and peace will follow! *Joaquin Phoenix at the Academy Awards 2020
SoundsandSongs Posted March 16 Posted March 16 They literally forgot about Beyonce who recently scored the second biggest female tour ever, a Global #1 smash with Texas and is on the verge of being in the top 10 monthly listeners on spotify (she's #11). 1
