Daddy Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Religious people are trash to me and the enemy. I'm very much against any religion since it's the root of all evil. There's no God, just eternal darkness 1
Curaga Posted March 13 Posted March 13 No, I grew up in the Mormon church and it was the worst thing ever. I hate organized religions and all the hatred/othering they encourage. 2
suburbannature Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Attended Catholic private schools for 15 years and can say resoundingly that I am NOT religious
wowsignal14 Posted March 13 Posted March 13 i was born and raised muslim. i left islam at age 15. I'm now 22 and a happy atheist 1
Sheep Posted March 13 Posted March 13 I believe that there are forces in the universe that we don't yet have the capacity to understand or measure and I don't believe that anybody has those answers or is close. Agnostic feels like the wrong word because I don't believe is a personified deity behind it all though and certainly not the ones that have been invented so far to control and divide people. 8 minutes ago, Curaga said: No, I grew up in the Mormon church and it was the worst thing ever. kalli Posted March 13 Posted March 13 born and raised muslim, now atheist. in hindsight, i always was an atheist, i never believed in allah or some ****, i only did the religious things because my family told me to do so, not because i was fearing some man in the clouds i'll always be thankful for living in a country permitting me to be myself, sending my love to all the people out there suffering under the rule of a theocracy-like country 1
Pendulum Posted March 13 Posted March 13 It's a hard question to answer. I'm baptised as an Orthodox Christian but religion plays no role in my daily life, morals and ethics. I partake in religious celebrations around Christmas and Easter cause that's always quality family time. I don't have any religious trauma and visiting Orthodox churches is comforting. Especially because I don't live in my home country anymore. So I would say I'm agnostic. 35 minutes ago, velocity said: i'm exploring slavic paganism Are you Slavic? Obviously you do you as long as you cause no harm but I feel kinda iffy when people are saying they're into slavic, norse or any pagan religion. It's giving cultural appropriation at times.
Jude Posted March 13 Posted March 13 (edited) I was a religious freak but I quit 2 years ago. I realized the christian sect I was in was a cult. I fortunately woke up, left, and is never going back. Edited March 13 by Jude

No worries, i am slavic. I completely feel you on the protectiveness though. Slavs are so often seen as 'lesser than' yet people have no qualms about appropriating or taking what is 'ours'. I was also baptized into the orthodox church but I do not believe in the abrahamic god. Yet there's quite a few orthodox traditions that i have always loved. I've learned that most of them were actually old slavic traditions that pre-date the orthodox church and were adopted into it. That's why i'm learning about it in the first place 1

4th Time Around Posted March 13 Posted March 13 (edited) Being religious is very different from acknowledging or being interested in the concept of some higher power I would say that I lean towards being spiritual but do not identify with one specific religion Edited March 13 by 4th Time Around 1
Bencharmer Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Religion is a man made set of beliefs with limits and dogma. So no, i'm not religious cause i don't follow one of them and i don't take a structure from them.
Odette Violet Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Roman catholic but not religious in a strong sense of the word
