I checked UK Apple Music to evaluate the floppage level, but I saw both recent singles in the top 20 and New Rules, Don't Start Now, IDGAF and One Kiss charting.

It gave MPG

This album is bombing but she is clearly part of the pop zeitgeist regardless. Dua Lipa is 100% one of the main people in focus in music for today's audience. We can see from the performance of the singles there was hype and anticipation but quality or style of the music just wasn't clicking

She's better than a Katy Perry, but her new songs are not it. She also could make herself more accessible and build a fanbase because now that the Gp taste has changed and they are movin on she has no safety net. I really applaud Taylor for connecting on a personal level with her fans. P.S love teenage dream era and hot n cold.

The way I fumed when this came out and I saw through the lines knowing it was just a PR statement. Like, they 'wanted' her to be many things, but they never said which plan they had in mind to achieve it, so it was mostly wishful thinking :rip:

And now they are cutting their losses and by lowering the budget. Tame Impala was not it. And he produced the whole album, should have worked  with other people. Look at her now .

She's not a parasocial artist, it's time to give it up with that :giraffe:

Do you still sell tickets when your albunm flop if youre not a popular legacy act.

Cant she released kirkpatrick outtakes from FN as singles and add them on a deluxe later so its easier to  go  platinum.

Sad but the truth. I remember when she was a bit more open towards her fans. The bedtime stories were such a cute addition.

Also the culture is messy drama now.

Only top 2?!? Sounds like a huge flop to me...

I woke up filled with anxiety, thinking this album flop was just a dream.

I rolled out of bed and started listening to Whatcha Doing and remembered— it wasn't.

I can't believe people aren't loving this, it's a really great album and I'm sure Radical Optimism(The Extra Positive Edition) will give us another 3 amazing songs + good collabs. These Walls might sound basic and predictable at first glimpse but it's a really well crafted pop song, I'm sure the GP would love it as a single and then Watcha Doing or Maria as the last single of the standard version so she can kick the collab season and then the deluxe

It's the closest thing to psychedelic music on this album. :rip:

French exit is IT for me. Training season remains a huge dud and I think the rollout for that single is a huge part of what tanked the era
