Popular Post IsidoraMarí Posted March 11 Popular Post Posted March 11 (edited) Gaga is truly a blessing. Pre Gaga even Obama was anti gay marriage, Born This Way was a societal change for LBGT rights. a True Queen Edited March 11 by IsidoraMarí 20 2
Kayseri Mantisi Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Love that she didn't choose to stay silent against hate 5 2
Asparagus Spears Posted March 11 Posted March 11 I’ve never seen these tweets or anything like that. I thought she was just getting backlash for selling out and promoting hauslabs and medical. Which in that case - I agree with. But in this instance, this is definitely hatred. Well done for doubling down. 1
ATRL Moderator Popular Post Bloo Posted March 11 ATRL Moderator Popular Post Posted March 11 Lady Gaga's statement was wonderfully said. She's always been in the corner of LGBTQ+ people from the jump and I'm glad to see her continue to lend her voice even though she, as she herself acknowledges, does not speak on behalf of the transgender community. We need more people speaking like this about the trans community with their full chest. Also, props to Dylan Mulvaney. I would have not known about her at all if it weren't for the right wing's unhealthy obsession hating on her nonstop. It's admirable how much she's able to weather the bulls*** and stay true to herself. I'm sure she's a shining light for a lot of trans youth waiting for their time to live their truth. 19 4

I was making a collage of comments Gaga was combating but then decided to just keep hers up. Everyone know Dylan is targeted by these losers for hateful reasoning Edited March 11 by SmittenCake

You had nothing to do with this thread being remade. 2
Leptine Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Beautiful and well written post, I appreciate also the fact of her pointing out about the difference between 'backlash' and 'hatred' 2

I hid it so a new one can be made without that off-topic talk that I caused with the joke on the title which I apologized. 7
Sugar-Rush Posted March 11 Posted March 11 I can't wrap my head around the fact that many conservative folks who joined her fanbase during Joanne/ASIB eras don't seem to know that Gaga is an LGBT+ supporter. Next they'll be shocked that she supports Biden too. 3

Popular Post Infernal Paradise Posted March 11 Popular Post Posted March 11 The way she remains unwavering in her support for trans rights, all these years later It's a shame that some of you are so juvenile as to manufacture or push a stan war drama out of what is simply a clear and loud message against hatred and bigotry, whether fueled by your aversion to an artist and/or their fanbase. Without singling anyone out in particular, I guess some of you just do NOT understand the gravity of this watershed moment linked above or the statement that she posted today. In 2011, having THE prime pop star of her generation, as a cis woman, go to bat for the trans community on primetime television proudly saying "my fans don't care and neither do I [about whether or not I have a *****]", literally THREE days after she launched her new single screaming the words "No matter gay, straight or bi, lesbian transgendered life" in the bridge was actually MONUMENTAL. If you cannot give credit where it's due, that's fine! You don't have to. But at least have the basic human decency to not malign or undermine the sincere activism efforts of someone that actually had the balls to stand with a community through their thick and thin at a time when everyone wasn't as unabashed and open as she was about the said support. - This statement was really important and I'm glad that she took the time to write something so firm and eloquent. Thank you Gaga for everything that you've done over the years and the way you continue to use your voice and platform. 23 9 1
nadiamendell Posted March 11 Posted March 11 I'm glad she finally said something on this. It's obviously not REQUIRED of her to speak out on these issues, but her outspokenness and activism during her early career definitely helped change some people's minds on gay rights/marriage at the time, whether the gays on ATRL want to admit it or not. With the anti-lgbtq+ (especially anti-trans) movement in full swing the past couple of years, her voice has been sorely missed. The fact that some of these people are SHOCKED that THE LADY ******* GAGA is "woke" on LGBTQ issues really says a lot about her change in image the past few years, and I hate it. Regardless, I'm glad she's finally speaking out and hopefully realizes the impact she can have. 6
AllyGayTor Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Never once doubted her support to the LGBTQ+ community. People who are full of hate and evil are the reason the world is regressing and they should honestly be dead. 12 minutes ago, Miichael said: Girl please, you made that thread with that title to try to get Gaga dragged, not out of any care for trans rights the thread backfired so you hid it Not the first time a thread backfired on them and getting hidden immediately after to save face. Guess trolling is not punished here anymore.
velocity Posted March 11 Posted March 11 dylan looking rough i can't believe all the activism and support gaga showed the lgbt community and the GP just forgot
