Or is she immune to everything? Discuss.

I believe that at this point in her career, the list of things that could get her canceled is almost non-existent. every time a controversy arises, she will wait for the dust to settle and appear on SNL showing talent and charisma, gradually distancing herself from it, as she did in 2016 (donut licking and publicly hating america) and now in 2024 (homewrecking allegations). she is not immune, but her marketing team certainly knows what they are you doing. 1
Selegend Posted March 11 Posted March 11 (edited) she was lowkey cancelled, most of the videos with Ariana on screen before the album release has horrible comments on Instagram, for example it's just that the art clicked and that is ABOVE anything else. people in reality don't care that much, when the overall listener listen to her album, watch that MV and LOVE IT, they couldn't care less with that said i think the music video for "we can't be friends" got her a lot of sympathy and anything close from a cancellation is now 100% gone the art did it's thing. They were at their peak and they got completely wiped out from radio, they never had a fully realized hit afterwards. But that's probably because theyre a country act, and Ariana is pop. 1

Even still, I hear his music often in public. Better yet, look at MJ, the PDF file allegations are the worst of them all and he was swarmed with those before and after his death, but still his status in the music industry is unchanged and he get much better streams than most "uncancelled legends". Cancellations don't really work as long as there's good music to fall back to. Ariana won't get "cancelled" until the quality falls off a cliff. That's just the reality of it. I'm not saying i'm for or against it.
