#1 debut is essentially locked at this point. It’s performing exactly the same way 7 rings did when it was first released. It seems this single may have single handedly saved the entire era after the mess that was Yes And?

Those aging twinks have been setting the tone of taste and online discourse for the past decade. So the Robyn sound and sensibility of quiet heartbreak set to twinkling synths that in 2010 was a gays-only event, too demure to compete with the Katys and Gaga and their maximalist anthems, now makes sense as a mainstream sound and is embraced by the youth.
