10 songs above 870K

18 songs above 500K

39 songs above 200K

85M people strihmed in the past month (coming for 100M very soon)

Is it because she’s the biggest hitmaker of all time and has the most classics out of her peers or is it the superbowl boost?

Or is she using playlisting and payola?

Very impressive regardless :clap3:

it's a global thing, more access to streaming platforms, i keep seeing random indie artists reaching new streaming stats everyday

of course, someone that was already big will become even bigger.

Her performance at the Indian wedding had quite some impact. I've seen at least 5 videos on TikTok with over 1m+ likes.

Spotify gains more users every year, so artists streams grow.

Rihanna had a big strong catalog, so she gets about 20-30m streams a day like Lana/Sza/Future/Feid/Bruno.

True iconic hits + beauty, something Taylor Swift will never have. :thing:

Just cause her fans obsessively stream her music all day doesn’t mean the rest of the world knows it. :thing:

Hmm.. have streams also gone up for everyone else?

I don’t care enough to follow everyone else but most legacy acts have been seeing a continued increase of their catalog streams.

I wonder if the 23% growth in Spotify users overall has something to do with this.

Well that applies to your fave as well. It's funny how Taylor stans will be claiming she's bigger than any other act this century without taking into account the different music landscape and climate (physical, digital and streaming) throughout the start of the Millenium, will even claim her peak is somehow bigger than Adele's even though how many times Adele was listened to at home wasn't incorporated into her units during her imperial phase (and most other acts that peaked pre-streaming) yet will be the FIRST to acknowledge and take into account differences from before and after if it's about streaming and threatens the impressive numbers Taylor is doing

Rihanna is at 85 million without releasing new music while your fave whores out an album two-three times in a year and has 100 million listeners with more content, songs and a gazillion variants with a bonus track on each to inflate her sales. Face it, Rihanna has more hits and is way more liked by the GP than the one whose songs the GP can't even name :cm:

Not Taylor being brought up again by a Navy and an obsessed hater in a thread that has nothing to do with her.

Your comment REEKS of being pressed by how Rihanna is doing. This "users grew by 23%" was the only reason you brought it up.

Given an answer based on a factual data point to a question that is literally being asked in the OP is not being pressed.

But you know what fits being pressed? Melting down over Taylor stans and her success in a thread where neither is a topic or was brought up by anyone (apart from another Navy to throw shade).

Well remember to take all those stuff into consideration when you flaunt Taylor's numbers as well is all I'm saying. Because you attack people that do although it's equally as relevant and factual.

And where did this attack you speak of take place in this thread? Where were Taylor's numbers being flaunted that would cause you to start babbling about her when this thread is about Rihanna?

We have a Taylor stan using those differences in users in here but downvoting factual comments about her fave's successes in others. It's not that hard to understand.

Once again, a question was asked by the OP and an answer was given. Even the OP himself engaged with this answer in a rational manner and a discourse happened, all in relation to the topic of this thread, Rihanna.

And somehow this triggered you to bring up Taylor (not mentioned in this thread), her success (not mentioned in this thread) and her fans (not mentioned in this thread). Maybe you should start checking your obsession with her, cause it seems like you hallucinate her name in many threads where she is not a topic.

Oh please. No need for Taylor's name to be inducted into the Ariana thread yet it was because of you guys. I saw a pressed Taylor stan trying to discredit Rihanna's popularity (because you don't let any other girl shine) and I did what 99 percent of this board would do.

Maybe you should stop dragging this on and look in the mirror.

She was #16 in monthly listeners in September 2022, now she's #3 only behind The Weeknd & Taylor Swift. The whole 'growth in Spotify users' excuse is invalid considering she's growing faster than pretty much everyone else.
