I'm assuming in terms of being a singer? Because the vocals on this album are precisely not on the same level as say, midnites :rip:

Being on that level would be embarassing for Ari

Both of them use their own vocals in their albums at least, there are "singers" who don't even sing on their albums let's focus on them first

Why compare her to literally someone who comes once in a lifetime? So what she's not the biggest star on the planet?

She poured her heart and soul into that record, let's celebrate that she is serving stability despite all the negative press.

Her doing positions numbers when this had

Vinyl on release week

Alt covers

Months of preorders

Signed CDs

Is such a bad look for its future but we’ll see what happens

Careful, Communion is gonna write an essay (featuring your post history) on how these are amazing numbers and why you are a terrible person.

It's going to be the biggest sales week of the year so far, so it feels like "solid" is a perfectly reasonable way to describe it.

So 2 months? With new releases being non existent? 💀

Not impressive, but not bad at all. Hope she can still scrape over 200k because this album deserves it more than some of her others that cleared that milestone.

Confused as to why people here are pretending a 165K debut is good/solid...

 :suburban:

Cause these days YOU'RE NOT ALOWED to say that, they will call you a hater and curse you. What's new?

Weak numbers, 7 vinyls and a lot of signed copies (around 12K were sold out), and a lot of promo and that's what she gets. Hate all you want, this is weak.

More talented and her music outcome has less streams/sales/awards/critic acclaim and it seems like nobody want to see this talented artist performing in a stadium

I will choose to stay less talented :suburban:

Good Lordt. Will someone remind these cult followers that they’re not actually Taylor Swift? :dies:

positions numbers despite having physicals, multiple covers, vinyls, signed copies and tons of vinyls with weeks of pre-orders :/

I guarantee numbers will increase to 200K

Isn’t this how her albums usually perform first week? (TUN doing 300k+ was more of an outlier).

I say these are good numbers all things considered. She’s quite consistent. I see the usual suspects are in here doing the most tho.

yes she usually does these number first week. But all the other times, her lead single have been hit, helping the SPS long term.

This time yes and ? isn't going to carry this album like her previous lead singles. If she wants consistency (long term), she will have to push more singles and not drop the era after 2nd/3rd single like she usually has been doing.

we can't be friends will carry the era and then 3rd single and stuff y'know

this album is a grower!!!

Another #1 for the "yes, and?" hitmaker in her controversial era :clap3:

It’s definitely bound to go up too. This album has LEGS too but she just needs to be smart about the promotion.

Hopefully Ariana keeps going on her personal healing journey and growing personally and artistically, while some individuals remain... miserable, yikes.

Yes, literally calling a woman a "****" (even when hiding it behind a "joke") makes you a terrible person and you deserved the WP you apparently got. :rip:

OT:

Commercial success.

Critical success.

Healed and stronger than ever.

Releasing the pinnacle work of her career thus far.

Love and light always wins. :jonny6:
