It's like I know you want something cut to the point. I hate the fake nice stuff. Okay but this isn’t being ‘fake nice’ it’s just courtesy Being fake nice is giving someone a compliment that you don’t mean for example 1
Archetype Posted March 9 Posted March 9 I don’t know anyone like that but that’s probably because people like that fear me!
Bencharmer Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Social media faked even more people than they were already "Say something nice challenge." "Donate challenge." "Share compassion challenge." Those people love filming themselves to show how generous they are when off camera (and before the challenge) it was quite the opposite....... Being real isn't a thing online. Don't try to find realness there. 2
G.U.Y_Del_Rey Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Where is that trend happening, Canada? Because where I live no one's acting like that.
Alldeezy Posted March 12 Posted March 12 yes .. everyone is fake/two faced these days .. just be nice in general its not hard who am I kidding ... im from australia nobody is nice or even acts nice here ... i'll be lucky to even have someone let me in during a traffic jam
harwee Posted March 12 Posted March 12 For randoms, i'd rather them be fake nice than show their real miserable selves. For close friends or acquaintances, usually they want something from me.
Joyride Posted March 14 Posted March 14 that'll never be me, i'm too unfiltered and have a hard time not being a *****
TheCheshireCat Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Two things can be true at once, yall. Its obviously better that someone is overly nice than spitting in your face, but there is also a performance element to being “nice” and crappy people can use it to shield themselves for getting called out for sneaky or covert mean girl behaviour because “they are sooo nice though!” I think one downside to the overly put on nice vibe is it can misrepresent how much people actually care about you. You might be thinking you are really important to someone because they perform niceness so well but in reality that’s not the case at all. I know folks who talk like this to people faces but fully drag them behind their back.
Gesamtkunstwerk Posted March 15 Posted March 15 I don't have that problem, most people I meet seem miserable
White Rabbit Posted March 15 Posted March 15 The only thing that kinda annoys me is following up a hi or hello with with "how are you" regardless of whether it's fake or not. I feel like we're giving robots and a simple hi and a smile should suffice
