chaklux Posted March 16, 2024 Posted March 16, 2024 The GP is tired of same old hyper sexualised songs and looks from Cardi and Meghan. It’s nothing new and people have lost interest. Part of what made Tomorrow 2 successful was not only the bars being hard and catchy but also not the usual I’m sexy lyrics .
Cesar Posted March 16, 2024 Posted March 16, 2024 what honestly happened to her music after hot sh*t. the music quality has just been terrible 1

Jude Posted March 16, 2024 Posted March 16, 2024 Kinda shocked about the numbers since this was megaviral on TikTok.

This song is literally in the same vein as Tomorrow 2… the visual is hyper sexual but the song is not at all. There’s bars here too, the song is really catchy & can do numbers. Tomorrow 2 also flopped hard on Spotify btw.
Material Girl Posted March 16, 2024 Posted March 16, 2024 maybe the streams will get betterer tomorrow guys 7
reymiu Posted March 16, 2024 Posted March 16, 2024 Maybe most of the marketing budget was spent on Bongos, so her record label reduced on this one? (Cheaper video and lack of playlisting) I'm still confident that this will be a hit. It might be good that Cardi shows ppl she still can make organic hits

The music is exactly the same made before, it was all about the numbers. Stefon, Punisher and several others were true stans though.
Space&Time Posted March 16, 2024 Posted March 16, 2024 Considering the performance of her most recent songs, I don’t think that this performance is surprising. I do think, considering this song is hotter than the others that people need to give it time to grow. 1

Ck.cR Posted March 16, 2024 Posted March 16, 2024 The song is not a bop and it sounds like a poor man's Hot Sh¡T
Bhabylon Posted March 16, 2024 Posted March 16, 2024 The overdramatics when this song has literally been out for a day 1

When it's convenient they vanish from the thread and then when it feels like a "flop" it's the same old 3 3
Mornings Posted March 16, 2024 Posted March 16, 2024 (edited) Love the song especially the last few verses. I hope she keeps up with dropping songs enough for the momentum with the GP to swing back around, then drops another crossover hit like I like it or please me. consistency is the key Edited March 16, 2024 by Mornings

psychodj Posted March 16, 2024 Posted March 16, 2024 It’s been one day lol let’s at least wait until the tracking week is over. However, from this point on I want her to be more consistent with her music. That long break in-between albums did hurt her momentum.

Chainsmoker Posted March 16, 2024 Posted March 16, 2024 Honestly it seems like she’s pretty much lost whatever fanbase she had a few years ago from the lack of consistent releases and releasing the same old same old. Like IOP was six years ago. There’s no good reason why we shouldn’t have gotten CB2 (hell even CB3 ) at this point.
Specter Posted March 16, 2024 Posted March 16, 2024 Anyway. Regardless of her losing momentum because of being a dummy (which I think she did), I am happy that she's releasing fun bops and seems to be in a good space musically; bagging a soon-to-release collab with someone she stans down This is a bop and is better than Up for me, don't really care where it lands up.
