She only released 5 singles for the album. Maybe the 6th single would have made the difference.

Because, just like the rest of her post-2006 career, the marketing was wrong.

Christina is a 43-year old woman who hasn't had a Latin era in over 20 years and who doesn't even speak Spanish. Nobody was here for her doing generic, disposable bops like Santo, Suéltame, Como Yo, Brujería etc. The Latin girls can get that stuff from the younger, newer, fresher, more relevant, homegrown popstars. She could have eventually reached that demographic by being a feature on a hot Latin artist's song, but not the other way around

The 2 audiences that Christina should have tapped were: a) her Mi Reflejo era fans, who wanted to hear her have a manic episode over a piano instrumental and b) the older audience that is disgruntled with the current wave and keep spamming YouTube comments saying they miss real music. And she failed to attract either of those groups.

Pa' Mis Muchachas and La Reina are the only memorable songs that came out of that project

Pero Me Acuerdo De Ti is a latin classic and that's the type of music we want from her, not reggaeton and urban influenced songs since the market is infested with that music...

Her first album is one of the best selling Latin albums of all time.

It’s an interesting question because she has collaborated with so many popular artists who are smashing on streaming but they could not even make her chart.

She has failed in every single market though not just latin countries. Her latest album charted in 1 country.

The music just wasn't that great and was so uninspired. The rollout was tacky with the 3 EPs. And the best Latin song from the era remains unreleased ("Lloras Por Na").

I say this as a fan, but her Latin comeback era was trash and a waste imo.

It was very stereotypical music, like a white american's idea of what Latin music is. If she just did her usual work but in Spanish it would have been much better.

I disagree. Aguilera was her best album since Bionic.

The rollout was a mess but the artistic side was a return to form.

Everything that xtina has been doing all seems like a mess tbh. I really hope her next era she finally gets a hold of things.  Idk if xtina needs to get a new team or xtina herself is the problem. But things are just not working out.

The music was bad.

It's a shame cause Mi Reflejo is like a latin pop classic that everyone from my generation knows, but this one was just too bland.

Maybe she should start taking online classes for chinese or japanese. Watch out girl, there are not many markets left.

I remember La Fuerza was outcharted by Laundry Service (a 2001 album) in Spain on the album release day.

The demand is just not right there. Focus on Vegas
