Blue Monday Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Why is everyone acting brand new and acting like labels/artists don't do this when they're readying the next single

Truth Teller Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Pulling means it's no longer what they call a "focus single". Republic is ceasing active radio promotion and any push for higher peaks and is moving on to another song. It doesn't literally mean they are forcing stations to stop playing the song. 1
Maroonx Posted March 7 Posted March 7 what a lame ass excuse. Radios didnt pull it, the GP rejected it and radios won't play it.

Exactly, at most "pulled" means they removed the download from AllAccess or took it off PlayIGA or maybe that they sent an email out to the PDs saying "hey, new single comes in a few days and we're excited!" The stations are dropping the song from their playlists at such a rapid rate (its lost more than 500 spins over the past two days) of their own volition . Radio has shown no issue playing multiple Ariana singles at once (Positions/3435/POV and Breathin/TUN/7R/BUWYG all overlapped during their runs), so clearly this is an immediate rejection of the song now that Republic has given them the okay. MusicLoverDude Posted March 7 Posted March 7 How true is this because I heard this on KIIS FM last night in between Vampire and Agora Hills. This was around 7:30 PM Pacific 1
cityfolk Posted March 7 Posted March 7 stans dont understand that labels are just gonna "pull" a song from radio like that Spoiler besides Die Young by Kesha

Lovett Posted March 8 Posted March 8 I find this unlikely when the same label has now just moved "yes, and?" to #1 across Spotify, including TTH. Pulling it from radio would make 0 sense.
TrieLz Posted March 8 Posted March 8 The song already stalled a weeks ago (before it hit top 10 on pop radio), Now after it reach #10 peak, it’s time for the free fall
Zaynsus Posted March 8 Posted March 8 I really don't understand her team's strategy here. If they pull the song from radio, probably to make room for the new single, why was it put back at #1 on TTH ?
