Why did Murder On The Dancefloor success in the USA come to a screeching halt?

Everything seemed to be going well until tiktok snatched music from their app. Murder on the dancefloor collapsed on spotify. Now radio is dropping it because people arent streaming the song. So now what? What can atrl gays do to revive it?

It was mega viral on TikTok, and the UMG Pull of the song just destroyed all it’s movement.

Deserved so much better

US as usual was tasteless paying dust to it

At least it smashed in Europe again with re-peaks in Austria, Germany and Switzerland and Ireland and UK and went top 10 globally

It was only going to peak so high + no Tik Tok.

It would've been bigger had it not been for the UMG TikTok situation. But it did garner her a cute lil' hit.

I have no idea why after 20 years it became viral again :toofunny3:

The final scene in the movie Saltburn is the reason. It's long and I'm not talking about the scene.

It also started smashing during Christmas no? Kinda got Bloody Mary’d cause the charts were clogged when it was strongest

The memes stopped

With Trump’s inevitable re-election coming up this November, Sophie didn’t feel it would be appropriate to have her vocals broadcasted anywhere on American soil, so she pulled it from radio.  Good decision on her part since her only remaining fans in the US are homosexuals, most of whom will lose their rights come 2025.

Because America is tasteless.

But also... the TikTok fiasco. Anyhow, I'm sure Sophie's already happy with the momentum it gave her.

Well at least it was enough momentum for her to do a US tour this year, and tix seem to be selling well in my city (DC).  There's a low ticket warning already :clap3:

She's doing her first tour of the USA in summer.

America doesn’t deserve it after paying it dust the first time

US audiences wouldn't know a good song if it hit them in the face

UMG really sabotaged all their artists :rip:

UMG are full of **** for the TikTok drama. The amount of potential business they’ll lose now without songs going viral / being promoted on there… such a stupid decision
