There's not much going on in the pop world right now and when there is there servers can't handle the activity

I mean at this point most of us are 25+ (i'll be 29 next week) and i joined the forum 10 years ago, when i was only 18, which is probably the case with lots of people in here.

We got jobs, college and our own lives so we don't have much time to be online like we used to. And the new generation is mostly on stan Twitter rather than forums, so it was expected.

Censorship, reactions, and lack of pop culture moments does that.

But tbh, I don’t think ATRL will ever die, pop gays will always want a unique space that isn’t a social media site like Twitter where other communities can also be on there.

At least on here, you know the hunties/users love music and aren’t just FIFA stanning trolls who want engagement from stans.

A lot of forums are dying in general, it’s not an ATRL-only problem

Yep. Reddit is the only exception, everything else is just not what it was in terms of activity. People these days go to TikTok, even IG has decreased in terms of activity... and Twitter and Tumblr are so irrelevant not even worth mentioning. The internet seems like it's in some sort of reset period, everything feels dystopian.

What gets me about this site is that the same rotation of threads made about early 2010s pop girls are the only ones that get any activity :bibliahh:

The music scene is pretty much stagnant and boring

celebs and pop culture in general tbh. everyone is so brand safe now which I don't really blame them - people work hard and don't want to get "cancelled" or throw their career away for a stupid 5 word quote or whatever but it's sanitized everything. no one is interesting or saying or doing anything that is worth discussing.

At least in my circle, since Covid people are spending less time on the innernet and more time in real life. Which is amazing.

it's sad, honestly. this forum used to be so active that you could waste hours on here every day.

the awful servers and stricter rules have taken a toll on the quality too. i can't remember the last time a thread made me laugh really hard. that used to happen all the time :chick3:

One day this forum will literally die, so let's enjoy it even if it's not active like it used to be:alexz2:

Forums are dying in general

the 15+ group who kept it popping are now in their thirties or older & have no time to argue about pop tingz anymore. There only a select few people who take it that seriously anymore, everyone else is living in the real world :johnald:

Pretty much. I’m starting to lose interest in stan pop culture in general.

We have to talk more about video games and random **** if we want ATRL to consistently stay alive.

Dedicated forums aren't sustainable anymore unless every year is a 2011 pop music sized year.

atrl is the only active music forum alive and I feel it's still pretty active compared to the other forums I used to use
