There was a high profile interview with them (I think it was pre-COVID) and it didn't paint a very pretty picture... if anyone remembers it, post it in here! The writer made some observations about JVN's behaviour, and noted that they were dismissive of fans, very frazzled/negative and not much like their on-screen persona. That, plus a myriad of stories I've heard about JVN's reputation in the industry left me thinking they're no different than Ellen 3

People will turn on you when you wade into politics and become exposed as a fraud. For JVN, he’s been getting too involved in politics and frankly doesn’t have the intellect for it. I’ve noticed a turn in public opinion for him after his fight with Jax Shepard around trans rights. He centred the argument on his own feelings and honestly made the whole thing a mess. Then did it again with his comments Gaza. This is another case of Icarus flying too close to the sun. Stick to hairdressing. 6

This 100% their remake on Gaza are disgusting so I knew they are just as disgusting as their comments
