Oh my god :biblio:

Hopefully she will find the strength to move on.

Those type of men should be getting their dicks caught off with a needle. Slowly and painfully

This is awful and horrifying. I hope the perpetrators are quickly found and prosecuted.

Leave women alone wtf, they work hard, make less and can’t even spend their money/time traveling safely? How exhausting.

Not to come across as insensitive, but whenever I hear from gangrape it happens in India (and yes, I admit that I am not the biggest news followers, but still). Why is that?

The (not-so) subtle racism in this thread already. :coffee2:

Jesus that is horrifying.. imagine having to not only endure that but then not knowing the entire time if they’re just going to kill you after etc. It takes an unbelievably strong person to make it through a situation like that. Is the person with her the boyfriend/husband?

First, India does have a problem with sexual assault, which also sparked many protests somewhat recently. Second, you may have a blind spot to other countries. Some of the worst cases of sexual assualt and rape I've ever heard took place in other countries. The Steubenville, Ohio case, for example, was definitional in so many ways.

This thread kind of serving a mess already but lemme just say India is a massive country with vast cultural differences from state to state. The differences between Indo-Aryan and Dravidian cultures alone would make the average Westerners head spin.

I remember the protests from a few years back. Actually, now that I think about it, we also had a gangrape recently where german tourists raped a young woman.

Maybe the news articles with reports about gangrape in India were so common because the protests brought the issue to a public that is far beyond India.
