base talk Is Ariana still the biggest ex act pop girl?

It’s been well established/generally agreed upon since TU,N era in 2019 and Positions in the next year that she is the biggest amongst her Disney + Nickelodeon peers. Is this still true in 2024?

Most people never think of Ariana as an Ex act. Ariana's time as a Nickelodeon actress isn't iconic or memorable compared to Miley on Disney.

She has the biggest catalogue & most hits by far but her celebrity has waned while Miley’s has grown considerably. Maybe it’ll change with Wicked & future acting projects but regardless, Miley is moving full steam ahead towards legend status

Flowers really brought her back to the spotlight and ever since plastic hearts she feels more in an upward trajectory 

 

Ariana is not flopping but she has declined a lot in the last few years

 

Overall they feel around the same, currently Miley is definitely more loved

Hasn't Miley moved a LOT more album units? Ariana had more consistent MPG success and hits, but it sort of feels like Miley was bigger overall. I could be wrong.

According to CM, Ariana has moved 72,6m units and Miley 61,8m. They’re not the most reliable source, but the difference is big enough to affirm that Ariana definitely moved more units even if the numbers are not 100% correct. 
 

OT: Ariana is still bigger I think, but I do agree that Miley is more respected than ever in 2024, while Ariana has lost a lot of her respect since last year, she’s pretty polarizing rn.

Considering the bulk of miley’s sales numbers come from her Disney soundtracks, Ariana definitely had the bigger career outside of her television show.  
 

All time Britney is still the biggest ex act.  And currently Olivia is the biggest ex act.
