I think I rather chew my own foot off than engage with ATRL's resident radical centrists and 4chan users, sis, sorry!

Aside from like 2~3 sentences what was wrong here?

None of our pop star faves would exist without capitalism, legend speaks the truth :bird:

She used to try to paint herself as this anti-capitalist pop star. Now she is the complete opposite. Shes become everything she used to rally against

How?

It's not that she was selling her music for free or giving concerts for free at the beginning of her career, not having merchadising, limited-special edition albums or not selling an expensive perfume, not to mention wearing the most expensive designer stuff, if anything she has never been anit-capitalist at all.

I'm currently trying to secure a deal w a label distributed by Warner so I feel ha. You need money to make art. It's so ******* expensive to make an album omg you guys have no idea :rip: And I'm trying to do it at a fairly ~indie~ level, for a big artist like Gaga to make a whole album with expensive videos and producers charging $250k a track...... no wonder the girls do make up lines :rip:

How can we drag capitalists when we all secretly dream of a rich sugar daddy taking away our problems?

Making her put in work for every dollar, tbh! She's lucky the ethical choice of piracy is too much of an inconvenience in our times of 2024.

No she didn’t not when she had songs like money honey, and living the luxury life. Her high fashion wardrobe and concepts of high art should’ve always  been a clue she always fully supported capitalism. She became exactly what should be and made her stand out. Unlike other pop girls who pretend like capitalism is a bad thing when it’s not!

She is 100% right and the fact that she actually has the balls to say it is impressive. While other popstars run away from ever admitting they love money or that they have to make money in order to make art at the level they want to, Gaga is here saying it out in the open.

You have Beyonce who has had 500 failed business ventures and Taylor Swift who sells 14 variants of ever album and you guys are upset that Lady Gaga is letting us know all of these popstars are capitalists and artists at the same time? Not a single stan on this forum has any room to talk about anyone being a capitalist because by definition we all stan capitalists. :ahh:

And again that’s okay, no big deal

She didn't lie. Nor has she ever claimed to be a spiritual descendant of Che Guevara. I don't wanna see any Beyonce stan shitting on her for this one.
