Is there any context or maybe a video

love that everyone is responding in here to that one sentence

I believe she said this as in both concepts can share a platform (like they’ve always have), but yeah a video would be lovely.

Placing left politics in entertainment, to get a reaction of right wingers. It’s a common strategy companies use now.

They are irrelevant because it loses sense of the original story, it gets contaminated by cheap reaction marketing.

I honestly think it was necessary at first, wokeness kind of brought awareness to a lot of issues and a lot more visibility to minorities in media and other forms of communication.

But it has become ridiculous. Opportunistic sjw’s canceling everything as some form of currency to gain points and attention.

Is PATHETIC to cancel people in 2022, is also pathetic to include politics in your art in 2022.

It’s so overused and the ones that used it as currency have destroyed its original message.

Sexual identity should stop being a political topic and seen as a basic human right.

I lothe equally how the left uses these 2 for their gain and how the right hate on us for being different.

This needs to stop being political and seen as what it is, which is a basic human right.

I think I rather chew my own foot off than engage with ATRL's resident radical centrists and 4chan users, sis, sorry!

Well capitalism certainly offers more artistic freedom compared to heavily censored socialist/communist regimes

? Every artist right now is screaming about capitalists utilizing cheap AI to basically get rid of any creative position

I hate to tell everyone here but all of your faves are pro capitalism. Hollywood and entertainment only exists in its modern form because of capitalism.

Like Zaslov axing completed movies for tax purposes? Like the games industry already laying off nearly 10,000 employees this year alone? Like the influx of sequels and remakes that everyone agrees is garbage?

I didn’t say it was necessarily a good thing how hyper-capitalist Hollywood is lol, but the 1% ultra rich popstar types like Gaga who are pretty much the face of ATRL all thrive and become mega rich because they embrace the capitalist mindset of selling mass product , exploiting their customer base for money, and maximizing personal wealth. If capitalism ever crumbled, so would Hollywood as we know it, and what would be reborn of it would be an entertainment industry that looks completely unrecognizable.

I’m not saying ATRLers should worship capitalism or anything but I do think it’s important to acknowledge the wealthiest entertainers are like… the most glaring experiences of capitalism alive. Lol.

And that does what for the proliferation of artistic statements? It has to fit within the confines of the status quo or it doesn’t continue to rewards its own excesses, how does it help the medium of art in general and not just the singular digits of people who have infinite wealth
