Popular Post Cain Posted February 27 Popular Post Posted February 27 I mean she’s right, for all the clownery she gets (and sometimes deserves lbr) she’s getting hits and sold out arena tours in her 60s which is unprecedented Again Madge is ahead of her time and when her peers past and present reach their 60s we will compare them to her, she will always be the standard 43 3 1
Alongoria13 Posted February 27 Posted February 27 IMO it goes beyond her fitness or success and she means it in a way of saying, “let me see if you are doing what you want at 65 like I am” kind of thing 8

I don't know when ageism started to take off in the industry but I think it would be the 90s. Before that, older acts would be able to get hits and play sold out shows. But she's rare with her still doing that, that's for sure. There will potentially be a few others doing that at her age as well from the current MPGs though. 1
Popular Post suburbannature Posted February 27 Popular Post Posted February 27 I mean, she's right. How many 65-year-olds do you see doing what she does in the entertainment field? It's mostly old white men touring arenas with guitars - she's putting on actual shows. 35
Popular Post IBeMe Posted February 27 Popular Post Posted February 27 tbh dissing someone about their age is literally one of the dumbest things u could do. We are ALL going to age (if we are lucky enough to live to age that much) AND time flies like INSANELY quick. We'll all be that old in a blink of an eye. It just happens. Glad she keeps fighting ageism 16 2
Tudors Posted February 27 Posted February 27 (edited) I don't think she'll be able to knock on my door when I'm 65 and see me. She'll be well over 100 by then. I don't think this will make a lick of difference tho. People will still mock her age. Ugh being 65 is gonna suck tho. Bloody hell! 😂 Edited February 27 by Tudors 1
Dark Phoenix Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Yeah besides Debbie Harry (in a much smaller scale and without constant output) and Cher (who’s grossing half of what M does and barely dancing) there’s no one at her age doing it. 7
Bloodflowers. Posted February 27 Posted February 27 The "Bad Girl" singer spilled hopefully we will be fortunate and healthy to live by that age! Not many people do, some pass away young by various causes unfortunately
Soda Pop Queen Posted February 27 Posted February 27 lol she's so funny. These beer bottles on tour (with I'm sure water in them) are sending me.
